    Hey all.

After I came back from my vacation in August, I just couldn't find the time to play WoW, nor did I really want to. It just lost it's appeal.

Well...now that I'm in my new house, I'm trying to get back into a MMORPG. I have both EQ2 and WoW. My younger bro plays WoW, my best friend plays EQ2.

I saw my friend playing EQ2 the other night, and I so wanted to install and get back on that, but...WoW has Battlegrounds, which I would really like to get into...but then again, EQ2 has better graphics, sound, GUI...

What to do, what to do?!?!

I have to admit, i havent looked into EQ2 much, and i bet its good. I liked EQ1 a lot.

But wow is pretty much the MMORPG right now.

    EQ2 Sucks. EQ1 is where it's at.

I played Eq2 and it wasn't that good. The graphics are shit, and you need a VERY good system to run it greatly.

Wow is much better than EQ2. The graphics, just the way the game was made is better.

All I have to say is:

    Eq1 > WoW

    Yeah.

If they reset all the servers and changed a lot of where everything is, changed the quests. It would be a lot more fun, because everyone knows where everyone/thing is. I remember quitting and coming back and still having REALLY good gear for my char, and thats sad when like 5 months pass and some people have shitty gear, thats pathetic. I could honestly make like 20k a day just trading and selling and buying.

I played both EQ2 and WoW at launch.. cancelled EQ2 right away but about a 2 months ago I resubscribed to give it another shot. It's not horrible but it's far from the fun that WoW delivers IMO. The whole game feels like it was set up to take forever to play from the constant load screens to the extremely tedius craft system. I was a big EQ1 fan so I wanted to love it but the gameplay mechanics are too stale in comparison.

wow is a very solid mmo. i played a trial of eq for a while since i was in guild transition in wow and ab hadn't come out yet. didn't compare at all. i didn't even think the graphics where much better. while i didn't really get to experience what party dynamic and end game play was like in eq2, the lower lvls didn't compare to the lower lvls of my favorite mmos, ffxi and wow.

I'm gonna be hopping on Gurubashi with my little bro. He's got a couple of horde characters on there that's he gonna help me out with.

I'm going horde this time. I was disappointed with my last time around with an Alliance character. See what good horde does me this time around. :)

from my experience horde is much. i have a friend who has a 60 alliance character on another server, he rolled horde on my server and was suprised that people he didn't know helped him with quests even if they were higher lvl.
