    Isn't our congress supposed to be the ones performing the checks and balances? Instead we have wikileaks?

    The Afghan government is up in arms because the documents released included the names of many, many Taliban informants. Guess who's getting their heads chopped off as we speak? And guess what we'll likely never see again? Taliban informants...

    I'd not put much stock in the taliban informants. Because........after 9 years we still have a taliban problem. If we are not making sufficient progress after nine years, why are we still there? Why are we still
    attempting to attain the unobtainable?

    Agreed, I too think we're probably banging our heads against the wall. But the bottom line is this leak is going to result in the deaths of people that trusted us. Wikileaks and the rat that handed them these documents condemned them to death.

    I get your point and agree somewhat.
    I'm wrestling with which is the worst evil though. Our inteligence community and the war machine did more condemnation to death by knowingly sending our troops and allies into
    a situation where the dangers were misrepresented/lied about. i see the wikileaks episode as more of an echo condemnation.
