YouTube - Head Tracking for Desktop VR Displays using the WiiRemote
I see a lot of $$$ in this man's future. He explains it very well, too. Impressive technology, can't wait until some games utilize that!
What a nerd lol, yeah that guy will probably make some big bucks if Nintendo catches on
Wow, that's pretty awesome. Kinda like the virtual boy, except people will own it.
Wow that was so creative.
I saw him present some similar work at a conference in Newport a few months ago. Definitely knows what he's talking about.
That was wii-ly cool. I mean...WOW...that would take a first person shooter to a whole new level.
Man, you said it! A totally new level!
No doubt but it's hard to say for sure.
But Nintendo doesn't necessarily have to though. A software developer could easily get that guy on board to program something and come out with their own awesome game using that technology.
Check out his use of a wiimote as a multi-touchscreen.
Couldn't a game come out with their own peripheral to use that technology? The same way you need a guitar to play Guitar Hero or the Playstation Eye to play that weird card game for the PS3.
damn, it'd be soooo freak'n cool if he could create 3d projection image to the Human eye instead of just the camera.
yea its pretty fucking amazing, tempted to buy a wii just to try this out.
