So the wife just picked one of these up and a "Fit." What games or gadgets do you guys recommend?
Obviously you need at least a pair of controller and nun-chucks, maybe pick up this which is a good value:
Amazon.com: Wii Play with Wii Remote: Nintendo Wii: Video Games
In terms of games, here are some "must buy" titles:
Amazon.com: Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz: Nintendo Wii: Video Games
Amazon.com: Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga: Nintendo Wii: Video Games
Amazon.com: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess: Nintendo Wii: Video Games
Amazon.com: Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip: Nintendo Wii: Video Games
Amazon.com: Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel: Nintendo Wii: Video Games
Amazon.com: Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Nintendo Wii: Video Games
Amazon.com: Resident Evil 4: Nintendo Wii: Video Games
Amazon.com: Super Mario Galaxy: Nintendo Wii: Video Games
And a charging station maybe. But to be honest, we're still on our first set of batteries so I may just skip it:
Amazon.com: Wii Twin Charging Dock: Video Games
Thanks MSP. What we have so far is The Wii, 2 controllers, 1 Chuk, Fit pad and software, Wii Sports and Wii Play.
The charging configuration is retarded at best. Why didn't they have the adapter plug in where the chuk does? That way you wouldn't need to peel back the controller skin. And composite hook-up? I can buy the component adapter but both are archaic.
I'd buy Monkey Ball first. It's cheap, 20 bucks, and has 50 mini-games that are a blast. A real crowd pleaser.
So where did you get your Fit? I'm still trying to get one.
I need to pick up mario kart. I haven't played my wii in forever.
Also check out your favorites among the old GameCube titles
She got it at our local Gamestop/Old EB.....had 4 in stock. Bestbuy is supposed to have them in stock (in Ohio at least) this Sunday.
Yeah, I didn't realize until I read the manual that The Wii was backwards compatible with Gamecube games. Thanks guys.
