ooooo collector's edition you bastard unfortunately its the end of summer semester. I have to write a serial interface in assembly code and write a paper on how multicore procs handle threads...by monday. so I am being responsible and not buying until then. But I am taking that tuesday off to play all day

I cheated my way through the first one just to see what it was all about but I still didn't like it. Hope y'all enjoy it though. I really hope blizzard didn't blow it (I really doubt they did)
Played it for two hours last night...wow...I'm loving the single-player campaign already. So polished. Feels so much more like an RPG than WCIII did. And cut scenes..amazing. I'm happy I got it for free. I'm online. Cancuckle or my email addy iantdickson@gmail.com.
Wow...playing Terran is so...hmmm...primitive. After playing nothing but Toss during the beta, being forced to play terran just somehow seems archaic and ancient.
I'm playing the Single Player and it's pretty nice. Love the level of polish on blizzard games. Don't know if I'll be doing much online play, but who knows.
Did you play SC1? Then you've pretty much played SC2. It's just got a lot more modern bells and whistles and some sweet new units.
Twelve years. TWELVE FUCKING YEARS And all Blizzard has to show for it is this turd of a game. I am disgusted to my core. It has all been an elaborate game of smoke and mirrors during the development of this game.
So its Sc1 with modern graphics pretty much? Thats pretty pointless. I guess if they changed it to much it wouldnt be starcraft though. I doubt diablo 3 is going to be the "same" Probably similar, Doubtfully the same though. I am kind of let down that the outdoor areas aren't going to be randomized, But that makes for a more realistic landscape. left or right i suppose. Hell, I still enjoy diablo II.

The "Don't mess with success" and "Okay graphics are good enough" crowds will love this game, while the "I already own Starcraft I, I don't need to buy it again" and "I have a top-notch gaming ultra-rig for THIS?!?!?" crowds will be less than pleased. This is going to be one of those "love it or hate it" type games.
Well I bought it, and it's a great game. Very polished, detailed. Sure there's A SC feel... it's SC2!!!!
Yes, it's more of the same, but at least they did it well. Nothing sucks more than a sequel that changes the original game mechanics so much that it's barely even related. Besides, it's all about the custom map editor. The campaign is great and all, and the generic multiplayer is well done, but I never played WC3 or SC1 for the regular game. It was all about the amazing custom maps that people put out that made the game last for years. DotA is one of the greatest custom maps ever made for WC3, and the SC2 editor is considerably more advanced.
