And now my own "who did you vote for" anecdote from work: So I posed this question to some coworkers this morning and got a large McCain response, but we are one of the wealthiest counties in the country so what are you gonna do? But one of the responses stood out. Her: "Why would I vote for Obama? He's the anti-Christ!" I gave her the "are you fucking shitting me?" look. Her: "No, really he is! Read revelations it talks about a great orator coming." So, this is the same retarded coworker who I mentioned in my new job thread but I really couldn't bite my tongue on this comment. Me: "Well, I think that's retarded but if it's true, I for one welcome the coming Rapture." She looked as though I had just shat in the communion plate. Her: "That's horrible! Why would you say that?!?!?!" Me: "Well, Rapture means that the fundamentalist Christians will finally be out of my hair." I have never seen someone turn so red and get so angry that quickly.

Well, just cast my ballot for Obama about an hour ago. Something that gives me hope, but taken with a grain of salt: I work at Starbucks (I know, I know, but hey, cheap health care). Today, as some of you may know, we are giving out free coffee if you have the "I Voted" sticker. So everybody and their mother came today, especially since our store is in the heart of the city. I've never seen our store that busy. I'm talking lines to the door almost non-stop, and I worked 8am-4:30pm. I would say, for every 1 McCain sticker/shirt I saw, there must of have been 3 or 4 Obama stickers/shirts. We get all kinds of people: college students, professors, blue collar, white collar, old people. It just seems like I saw far more Obama supporters than McCain. I've got my fingers crossed.

Anytime you take from one person and give to another, that is an aspect of socialism. There is an old joke about the 4 'isms. If you have two cows: Socialism, the government takes one of your cows and gives to your neighbor. Communism, the government takes both of your cows and gives you milk. Fascism, the government takes both of your cows and sell you milk. Capitalism, you sell one cow and buy a bull. This is America, you get what you earn. If these lazy fucks won't work they deserve the poverty they live in. People make poor choices and should have to pay the consequences. I have never got any free government handouts, why should they?
