Just got to New Orleans and I'm wondering what I should do while I'm here. Looking for some rad spots to eat, drink, hear some live jazz, etc. Last time I was here I came for work and had zero time to explore. This time I have 5 whole days.

    ANy suggestions?

Have you already peed/puked on the sidewalk? :)

Never been myself, but I personally would take a cemetery / swamp tour.

Oh man, I'll be over there next Friday through Monday for Voodoo Fest. You should stick around!

Get a Lucky Dog off the street, seriously you must. Domelise's also have the best poboys in the world. Cafe de Monde for breakfast.

As for things to do, there's tons. I'm sure you'll find plenty of things to do :)

Haunted/Cemetery/Swamp tours are fun. Personal favorites are the WWII museum and the Aquarium. Also a St. Charles st or uptown street car ride. If you have the time and way to travel, Abita brewery has tours. Its across the lake, approx 1 hour drive time from downtown in Abita Springs. As for food, ACME Oyster house, Port-of-call, and GW Fins are all awesome. Lastly, if you need a hospital Tulane and Ochsner are great choices ;)

I've never had a hankering to visit the actual city. But wouldn't mind getting out in the bayou for some good vittles and fishing.

Christ, that's an extensive list. Thanks Tass!

With all of the amazing food and drink in this city, I'll probably return home about 10 pounds heavier.
