i recently checked my savings account and i had 900$ stored up from intrest and a check for medical testing (i was a guine pig for some drug testing) and i figure ill put it into my baby (my computer) well ive narrowed down to two things
should i go with a second dell 19 inch lcd http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...9&sku=320-4568
and a second BFG 8800GTS640OC2 to replace the one i messed up by voiding my warrenty (BFG and their completly fucked up policy about if you overclock or open the car to modify the heatsink it voids your warrenty and if i ship it in for repairs with a voided warrenty they ship it back to me telling me i voided my warrenty, because some how they can test it with an onboard memory chip) and return to SLI or should i get a 37 inch 720p hdtv LCD television to replace my 20 inch tube with nothing special in it
i play some xbox360 but i use a vga cable and i plug that into the open vga port on my monitor

Keep it in your savings account to accrue more interest until you really want/need something.

QFT. If you're not sure what to buy you don't want it enough. The money is just burning a hole in your pocket.

if you just "have to" spend it, it's a good time to step up to an LCD/digital TV. You'll enjoy the added connectivity and not have to get a crappy digital convertor next year. the prices are extreemyly low on the 720p's as the industry is really pushing to get the 1080P's on the shelves for the holiday/superbowl season. people figure, what the hell, I don't need to upscale for the digital mandate aproaching, I'll get a convertor from the cable company and all will be hunky-dorey. Those digi-cons are Ok and all, but there's a risk, depending on the internal sound system of the old CRT TV's of sound lag from converting a digital sound stream to analog. It doen't take but a few minutes of a .01ms delay to add up to a noticable sound sync problem with some of the old sets.

were talkin about a 10 year old panasonic that bit the dust a LONG time ago, altleast 2 moves, and i got tired of the sound sync problem, ill be watching a movie between 2 people talking and when it focus's on one, you hear the other, im not really a BIG superbowl fan but we just upgraded to HD from the cable company and i figured what the hell i can either get the 37 inch television or a second 19 inch monitor and a second vid card to control it/SLI, and it was more of just i wanted to give my self somthing for letting a doctor fuck up on a knee surgury and have to go in again as well as being a medicinal tester

It depends on how much Tv you watch compared to how much desktop you need. Personally, I'm on the computer more hours than on the TV, so my oriority went that direction. I will be replacing my 10 year old sharp 27" soon
as the life expectancy was fullfilled 5 years ago.
