Did you know white bread will actually help remove scuffs or stains from leather?

For personal use but absolutely no text. If some thing is important enough that someone have to bother me they better call. And that cover protects the screen getting scratch when i leave it face down.

[IMG] this is for more work then personal use.

GiggidyGee, imagine having to carry your cellphone, MP3 player, camera, GPS unit, netbook/laptop, plus all their cables and chargers... everywhere you go, all the fucking time. You'd need a huge backpack. It would get old really quick! It's just more convenient to carry a smartphone in your pocket. If you need the full capabilities of a specific device, then you take it along. For example, if you're going out to take pictures, then you take your camera and all its accessories. If you're taking a long trip, then you take your MP3 player loaded with all your music. And so on and so forth.

I've had this phone for almost 2 years now. I've really enjoyed it, it's been pretty solid. For about two weeks some of the buttons stopped working, then magically worked again. I also use it for running since it has a pedometer and can track distances.

However, I've been wanting an iPhone lately. The 8gb is only $99. The problem is my parents still pay for my phone so I'd hate to have them paying extra for me to get it. But I'm wondering what plan we have now and how much it'd be to upgrade to the iPhone. I know we don't have data on our plan but I think we have unlimited everything else. I was just gonna wait until I take over my phone payments before I upgraded to anything but if my parents don't mind the upgrade, I'd be down. :)

Yeah, it's nice to have it all on one device. My 3GS practically replaced my laptop for mobile computing.

Because we are geeks and like our shit to have as many features crammed into it as possible. Isn't that why you are on this site?

On the second year of my contract with my samsung instinct on the local "monopoly" carrier in Saskatchewan. I can't wait to be rid of Sasktel and switch to Rogers who actually has current phones.

Welll I dunno I guess I'm just seeing it through my point of view, the only time I really use the internet is when I'm not out doing other things. I don't need to know what Lisa's thinking about when I'm out having lunch. And I really don't need to see what any of YOU GUYS have to say when I'm out boarding or something :p I also don't need to check my email or check the weather, nor do I have to see if the stocks have gone up while I'm out doing my thang cuz I know my internet is sitting at home waiting for me. Plus, since I have the internet at home, why would I pay 100 bones more to have it on my cell phone? That's just for my life though. I could understand from a students point of view or maybe even like the owner of a company or a boss or something...I couldn't see why a person such as myself who just works a job and doesn't go to school would need all that shit on my phone and pay pretty much double for something I already have at home. I like that my phone has a camera on it, a phone with a decent camera is perfect. It's just the whole internet thing I don't get.
And now I'm gonna start on the whole texting bullshit. WHAT THE FUUUUCKKKK??????????? Why don't you just make a two second conversation actually be 2 seconds instead of sitting around waiting for the person to say yes or no.... pick up the phone and have a more personal conversation.

I agree with you on the Facebook and Twitter craze. My GF and I were at a restaurant the other day. Next to us was a couple. They weren't talking to each other. Heck, they weren't even looking at each other. They were sitting there, eating and texting on their phones. And the last few times I've been to the movies, as soon as the credits start rolling, a bunch of little screens light up and people start twittering. WTF?! It's ridiculous....

As for texting, I prefer to text than to call somebody to have a 5-second conversation. If you need to tell me something that won't fit in 160 or less, though, then give me a ring.

Yes, that's something that pisses me off. When I see a couple out at a restaurant not saying much to each other just doing stuff on their phone....for example, my sister. All she does is go on her phone to look at wedding shit, I know that's something incredibly important to her but when I'm over visiting her can't that wait...? I mean we'll be talking about her wedding and planning things out and stuff but then as soon as that's done discussing she's on her phone. People just gotta stop with that stuff. I guess it's a good thing they've banned all hand held devices while driving in BC. Not to sound like a cold hearted bitch, but people have killed themselves in car crashes because they're just have to know who wrote on their fucking walls two seconds ago. It's ridiculous and I think everyone who checks heir phone every two seconds really needs to discover a new hobby that doesn't revolve around electronics.

I agree that its annoying people do that, but is that really the phones fault. Some people like to have the capability to do things even if they don't always do them. I don't use my phone constantly, in fact I probably use it less than most people use regular phones. I don't make a lot of calls, I don't text a lot, I have it because I do like to do a few things often. I like to listen to streaming music in my car and podcasts (which are automatically downloaded to my phone, no syncing needed). I like to tether to my laptop at work so I have internet. I had a G1 that could do those things, but it was annoying to use, had piss poor battery life, and was slow. Now I have a more capable phone that can do almost anything I want to do within reason.

i get what giggidy is saying.. it does irk me sometimes.

if im on a date, and the girl pulls out her phones and starts bullshitting, thats a disqualifier.. im calling you a cab bitch.
now if we get into conversations about cellphone and technology then yes, we gonna pull out phones out and get our "geek on"

but dont be some tramp ass obnoxious slut and just immediately pull it out like youre important and shit, i will straight SPLIT THE BILL on her ass.

When I compare the kind of deals you guys get in the US with the bullshit we have to put up with in Canada it makes me abandon the idea of ever getting anything more than the most basic phone.
