I'm about through ep 6 of Mr. Robot. My ep 3 DVR was fubarred and I kept forgetting to dl it and that slowed me up some. I like it better now than earlier. Malick is just so friggin' good in it.

NETFLIX: How We Got to Now

The first episode is titled, simply, "Clean." It goes from mid-1800's sewer systems up through microchip wafer clean rooms, that are so clean even soap isn't allowed.

There are two fantastic new comedies just getting started:

Not Safe with Nikki Glaser, a sex- and relationship-themed show that promises to push some boundaries. In the firs ep, she went to a foot fetish party, and she also hooked up some friends to a lie-detector and asked them if they wanted to have sex with her (all but one did). This airs Tuesdays on Comedy Central at 9:30pm central time.

Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, formerly of the Daily Show, is on TBS on Mondays right before Conan. If the first ep was any indication, she should have been the one to take over for Jon Stewart.

Also, Dark Matter on Netflix is pretty good.
And I really really like The Expanse which aired on Sci-fi Channel (I will never use that stupid fucking "Y" spelling) whYch is stream-able stYll I thYnk (or downloadable as a TV pack from yur favorYte torrYnt sYte)

Oh yeah, for stand-up comedy, One Shot w/ Tony Hinchcliffe is awesome. (Netflix)

    It was amazing.
Having read/listened to all of the Expanse so far, I'm looking forward to a snow/rain day where I can marathon S1.

American Crime Story -- The Peeps v. The Juice on FX is pretty good. (O.J. Simpson case)

John Travolta as Robert Shapiro is his best performance in over a decade. Ironic that the OJ stuff was going on about the same time as Pulp Fiction.

    The Americans

This is my new favorite show. It's about two married KGB sleeper agents in Reagan-era Washington DC.
The first four seasons are streaming on Amazon Prime Video and the 5th season just started on FX.

When I read "Mine Hunters" at first I thought it was about un-exploded ordinance. Port Protection is Alaska, which is cool. There used to be some good aviation-based Alaska shows like Flying Wild Alaska and Alaska Wing Men.

Those were good shows. I basically like anything Alaska or Canada.

The Colony. Liked it. Kind of had a Half-Life vibe to it, minus the Free Man. :)

Shannara Chronicles was good enough that I decided to jump down the rabbit hole and start reading the books, but in chronological order.

OMG, one of the best execution scenes ever-- The Americans s3e8. I'm not sadistic but that was awesome.
