I can't find the old thread of this type. I figured we can make a new one and give them a rating */10.

    Ex Machina - 8.5/10
    Definitely cool AI/scifi stuff

    LilyHammer - 8/10
If you ever wanted to know what life in rural Norway is like... it's funny/weird.

    I loved Ex Machina!

My favorite new show so far has been The Brink (HBO, Tim Robbins and Jack Black)

I'm trying to get into Mr. Robot (USA, Rami Malick & Christian Slater)(great theme and style, weak stroyline so far).
Maron (IFC, Marc Maron, Andy Kindler, et al)
Last Week Tonight (HBO, John Oliver-- The Daily Show went to shit after he left, IMHO)
    Why? (Comedy Central, Hannibal Buress)
    Key & Peele (Comedy Central)
Halt and Catch Fire (AMC, Lee Pace, Scoot McNairy, et al)(s1 is on Netflix now)

New shows I've DVR'ed but haven't yet viewed:
Humans (AMC)<--------- (First ep was very good; has the gal from IT Crowd)
The Jim Gaffigan Show (Comedy Central)<--------(Also very good)
Married (FX, Judy Greer, Jenny Slate, et al)
    Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll (FX, Denis Leary)
    Another Period (Comedy Central)
    Friends of the People (TruTv)

    NETFLIX
House of Cards (Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright)
Scrotal Recall (BBC? unknown Brit cast)
Ask Me Anything (movie starring Britt Robertson, pleasantly surprised)
    Roadwork (Dave Atell stand-up)
I'm Sorry You Feel That Way (Bill Burr stand-up)

Old show I "aquired" totally legally ;)
    Stargate Universe

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
The Spoils Before Dying (IFC, Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig, et al)
Jupiter Ascending (Wachowsky's, WTF has happened to ye!?)(fucking joke of a movie)

And of course, the best show of all-- KC Royals Baseball!!

Are you kidding me? Lilyhammer? I admit I watched the first 2 seasons but that show fell apart quickly after that. It was horrible.

I had all the Game of Thrones eps DVR'ed onto the external HDD, but lost that and a lot of other stuff when I switched from Dish to the local cable co.

Of the shows I listed above not previously commented upon, the two I like best are Married and the real diamond in the rough that will probably be canceled because no one will ever see it is the sketch comedy show, Friends of the People.

The local vid store tries to lure me in from time to time with free-rental half-off stuff. I got Kingsman but only ripped it for later viewing, and today got Sex Tape, Elysium, and Inherent Vice.

Sex Tape was surprisingly funny with a great supporting cast (Carmen Diaz's ass should have gotten its own credit) Further, the irony of Robe Lowe with a meaty part in a movie called Sex Tape was not lost on yours truly.

I only watched the first couple episodes. I didn't realize there was more than 1 season! I think it would get pretty old after much more than a few episodes :p

All this Mayhem - Saw this on Netflix the other night based on a friend's recommendation. Tells the story of some Australian skateboarders' pretty crazy/tragic lifestyles. I was a skater while these guys came to fame and never knew all the shit they went through. Pretty interesting but a bit depressing

Yeah they did. I'm kind of embarrassed to admit that I know that now... LOL

All this Mayhem was good. Worth the watch if you ever skated. Another good one was about the original Bones Brigade (Powell Peralta).

New comedy specials on Netflix by Demetri Martin and by Colin Quinn.
The Demetri Martin one is hilarious, stronger joke-telling and less reliance on gimmicks. He's really come into his own, IMHO. Haven't viewed the Colin Quinn one yet, but I'm optimistic.

I just started watching sons of anarchy for the first time. I know I'm late as hell watching it, but a friend just lent me the first 4 seasons. So far I'm on the third disc of season one and I'll rate it 4/10. There aren't many hot chicks in the show, no tittays, and Jax(?) is not as hot as facebook seems to think he is.
I'm hoping it starts to get a little better, I'm dedicating my time to watching the rest of the seasons because I've already started and I've got some kind of OCD with that sort of thing.

Ex Machina was cool. 8/10. Very good plot. Great cast. Low funds it seemed.

My wife and I started watching Ray Donovan. Like it so far.

We also took up Mr Robot. We've only seen the first episode, but it's pretty good.

Tried watching Stitchers and I think they picked some really poor actors, or maybe it's just some of the dialogue. The concept is interesting, but just kind of failing on the delivery.

I've seen a couple of episodes of the first season of Dominion...based on the movie Legion and the book that Legion was based on...but wow...I like it just my wife isn't so hot on it.

The Strain is just about done it's second season and it's a damn good show. Falling Skies is just about done it's last and final season and that's a good thing. Season 4 was kind of okay, but I can see why they're pulling the plug. It's a shame...it had good ideas, just seems like they failed to execute some of it.

And we saw Jurassic World on the weekend. It was okay. Better than Jurassic Park 3, but not quite the power of the first 2.

TV shows this fall I hope will be good.
Minority Report (Based on the movie based on the Philip K. Dick book, I guess)
Grinders (Lawyer sitcom with Fred Savage and Rob Lowe)
    Both on Fox.
The second season of Last Man on Earth premiered tonight, DVR'ed by your humble narrator. Hope it's as good as s1. IT WAS

    At the theater:
Everest (My first 3D IMAX. Great eye-candy and the story was better than I expected given the lack of any hype whatsoever. Based on what was at its time, '96, the biggest disaster on Everest. Great cast)

    Netflix:
The West (This is another historical PBS mini-series a la Ken Burns, but this is actually done by someone else though it follows his "formula" closely)

Forgot to add in my note for Everest that the IMAX 3D trailer for The Walk looked killer-diller.

Halfway through season 1. Good so far! Anyone else watch it?
