It's neat to see how much we've matured as a group. In those days many of us were young and still trying to nail down our own identities. Our cars, our computer specs, the games we played... these material things were what we used to define ourselves. We were choosing sides: Mac or PC, Voodoo or some other shit, Intel or AMD...

Now many of us are married, or raising kids, or homeowners, or career-centered. We identify ourselves by what we do. We choose between politicians, religions and whatever else. That's just all part of getting older I guess. :)

I'm nostalgic for those more innocent (albeit petty) days of yore. In a way, I don't feel any older than I was back then. I guess I am though.

Great summary Smirnoff. I feel the same also, but indeed, my objective or my ways to identify are quite different.

Psssh.... I was high tech with my AMD K6-2 500MHz and my GeForce 4 TI-4200 video card. I think on that system I was running 64 megs of ram, and a grand total of 12gigs of hard drive space. I never thought I would ever fill that much space!

    God, those were the days...

I still hang around here for the nostalgia of it all. I will never leave this place!

Dual Voodoo 2s and an overclocked Celeron 300, my favorite rig ever. My Quake 2 frame rate absolutely made me giggle...

I don't think I ever had a sig, but my glorious PC ran Windows 98 SE! The specs were as follows:
    CPU: Pentium II 266MHz
    RAM: 128MB PC66
    HDD: 20GB Maxtor
    Graphics Card: Riva TNT 16MB
    Sound Card: SoundBlaster 16

I spent countless hours playing Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Rise of the Triad, Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, Rebel Assault II, and Monkey Island on that PC. And I remember masturbating furiously to looking at pics of Melissa Joan Hart over a 33.6Kbps connection. Ahh... the good ol' days.

I had a few of those 300x100 sigs, but I only remember one of them. And it's not up there. :[
It is true that a lot of us have pretty much grown up here. I started posting here when I was 15, 11 years ago, on my Win2k box. I'm sure a lot of members here can say the same thing. And I always used to lol @ 950's lime green MS Paint sig. Glad to see it's up there. :D

Yes, and it's only one of the first chapters in getting older. There are more chapters to come before the story is over.

The only reason i'd even look at a pictorial of a nude Lohan, would be strictly out of curiousity. ;) (fuckinay! where's the unibrow?)
