i think hoding hands is more affectionate than a hug. actually, i don't think hugs are really all that affectionate unless they last more than 3 seconds which then i'd consider it holding.

either way, kids are sluts. in pennsylvania (i think) they're offering birthcontrol to kids as young as 12 through the school. what's worse is that the school has no obligation to tell the parents.

Dog is a good guy. Here's a confession to our black brothers out there that will likely surprise no one - white folks drop the "N" bomb a lot when you're not around. Just like I'm sure black people call us crackers and honkies to our backs.

The truth is that a lot of white folks use the "N" word to describe a black person they don't like or otherwise have an issue with, not because they dislike ALL black people. Much in the same way a person would call a tubby enemy "fat", and Arab enemy "towely", and big nosed enemy "Pinocchio", etc. It's human nature for people to gravitate to an insult that is likely to do the most damage. So lots of white people say it that aren't really racist, just angry and foolish.

Crackers and honkies haven't been used in years and I don't know what term is used for whites anymore. The only thing I hear is "white people". BTW the black community already knows the N word is widespread in the white community just like linching is still a common practiced.

Oh yeah, linching is so common these days. It's in the paper every day...

And come on, I've had black friends call me a cracker. You've never heard a black person refer to a white person as a "cracker"? I find that impossible to believe.

    Wow. Ridiculous and Ridiculous.

No Hug-zone, that fucking cracks me up. What next, no Hi-fives, no hand shaking, or saying Bless You after someone sneezes?

School's no-tolerance policies are a fucking joke. I was given Saturday detention in middle school for getting punched in the face. Because I was involved in a 'fight', even though I didnt instigate the fight, nor did I return a punch.

And since when are people not allowed to be vulgar on private phone conversations?

In high school i was almost expelled and arrested because i tried to save this kid from getting picked on. My comment was keep teasing him like that and you'll be the first to get shot at.(it was during the whole aftermath of columbine) next thing you know cops and admins at the school were saying they had internet conversations that i had proof this kid was going to shoot up the school.(in reality it was an internet conversation with this slutty chic in my math class) but yea stupid shit.

Yeah, a similar thing happend to Jishory. It just has always seemed to me that the innocent kids are the ones bullied around by administration while the realy problem children go unnoticed by school security/disciplinarians.

Is anyone honestly surprised that Chapman was using that word? The guy is a former inmate and it wouldn't surprise me if race and slurs were a common thing in prison and his life. I saw some of his stumblethon on Larry King, and just laughed when he mentioned Jesse Jackson. It reminds me of the Michael Richards aftermath laughfest on David Letterman and later when he appeared on camera with Jesse Jackson. Man that on camera appearance with Jesse Jackson was funny, I mean he was acting like Kramer. I guess I wouldn't be shocked if the son that taped the conversation with Chapman regularly uses the same exact language.

I just don't think any of this matters, whether or not the N-word is commonly used. It's a private conversation, as long as he isn't infringing upon anyone else's rights, or plotting to hurt someone, it's all game.

If you're not hurting anyone, you can say what you want on the phone, am I wrong?

  17. It's funny 'cause I use ****** all the time. It's become a general insult. It's like calling someone a fucker. It really(to me at least) has no connection to arbitrary and random hate of a race, it's just an insult.

If you don't like it, you can eat my ass. You can call me a racist when I call for a lynching, but right now, I'll use whatever God damned language I fucking feel like... ******, shit, fuck, cunt.

Look at the demographic of where you live though:

It's easy to say stuff like that in an area that seemingly has few blacks in it. That's like insulting Jews at a Nazi get together. If you lived in an area where it's either a 50/50~ split (like Charlotte) or an area thats 80%+ African American (Columbia, SC), I doubt very much you'd be using it as "just another insult". In fact I'd bet it would be the last word from your mind.
  19. I just don't understand how a single word can be so damning. It destroys people's careers. Boo fucking hoo, it's a god damn word. People are instantly labled a racist over a word. The black people I went to school with(or at least the ones I actually talked to more than twice) were of the same mindset I am.

Don't get me wrong, if you said something like "hey lets lynch them ******s over there with their big noses" or something ridiculous like that, you'd get your ass beat down, and rightfully so.

I understand where you're coming from. Just personally being in a very balanced racial demographic, I rarely ever think of words like that. Some people like your black schoolmates may agree but you never know when someone will overhear you and either beat the shit out of you or kill you.
  21. I'm thinking it might be different in the South. I understand what your saying, I wouldn't just brandish it on the street either. Because you'll be labeled a racist and potentially get the shit beaten out of you for using a certain word in a manor which isn't necessarily racist.

I find it so wierd that we are an incredibly free society and use ridiculous language whenever we feel, but are self censoring when it comes to one word.

Word, I hear ya. My friends used to say it all the time to each other. It's personally not a big deal to me, but we live in such a politically correct environment now. We're not being PC for the sake of being PC. We're doing it so when someone slips up, we can tie all sorts of politics and headlines into it.
