Bought it today. Fun so far, just finished the first quest (golden hand) I've gotta say, so far the game is really easy. And leveling up is super quick.

You can change difficulty on the fly if it's too easy. I haven't found it that difficult myself other than a few enemies here and there like those giants.

I had a bear kick my ass last night, kinda pissed me off. I think what happened was that I finally put on some decent armor, had been running with just enchanted clothes and a few armor pieces. So when my armor rating shot up to 111 the game dynamically increased the difficulty accordingly and suddenly that simple bear was a badass. I just wasn't expecting it.

    file size ~5GB

i fail to see how this can be much of a pc game, but i'm going to bite.
must be a terrible console port with crummy graphics because a retail game like this for pc should be about 2 dvds ~12+GB

Yeah those giants suck lol. Girl in whiterush was like gimme a mammoth tusk, so I was all like yeah baby I got you.

So I walk outside get up next to one of those big bastards and om like BOOYA FLAMES UP IN YO ASS!

and the mammoth was all like OH NO YOU DINT! And started chasing my cracker ass. Well, I didn't see the giant. He wasn't too happy about me trying to bbq his dinner. He started chasing me too. So now I've got a pissed off mammoth and a pissed off giant chasing me while Im back pedallibg going aw shitshitshit. WHERE'S MY MANA????

Eventually I ran into a rock, because running backwards sucks, the giant looked at me and wound up like some kin of freakythe Babe Ruth with a club, and knocked my ass back to Cyridil.

Anyway, attacking mammoths is a bad idea when you're level 5 lol. Also, there are tusks in the bandit lair a bit north (where you collect the bounty).

This game is fun, gotta decide where Im going next. Really want to check out the thieves guild and the college, but they're so far away. Now that give killed my first dragon, I may just go explore and try to find more dragonwords.

I generally do the quests in this order, as it seems to get me in less trouble:

Main quest, Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, other lawful guilds, side quests ----> Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood

By the time I've completed all the normal quests I can then murder and rob anybody I want without having to worry about fucking up a quest charachter or getting kicked out of a guild. I play my characters like a fallen hero basically.

I'm rolling a new character for each faction. It feels more interesting creating and leveling a character that fits the perfect archetype for each guild.

The bucket thing is where you put a bucket over their heads, then just take everything while their line of sight is cut off.

Wow that is fucking hilarious. I didn't know you could do that haha. I love messing with townspeople in this game.

I generally don't partake in any exploits that upset the economy of the game. With a virtually unlimited supply of money all the goodies and loot you find in a dungeon or from a quest become virtually meaningless. The only cheat I've used ever was to cure my vampirism with a console command because I simply forgot to take the cure disease potion in time.

What I could chiefly use in the game right now is a refillable soul gem, like Azura's star from Oblivion. I love enchanted weapon and armor, particularly enchanted weapons that also capture souls.

The only cheats I use are really mods, encumbrance weight and lockpixking.

Im a klepto and steal everything I can and I hate being slowed down. And I hate the lockpixking minigame

I'm all about the Bound weapons. You don't have to carry around the steel (and they soul cap too).

The main thing when first starting out is to not get overwhelmed. The first time I started Morrowind I literally put the game down for months because there was just too much to take in. So go slow, just explore and have fun, and don't plan on finishing it for a year or so. Oh, and be sure to check out the Wiki:

I played most if the day as well. Im now thane of two holds, guildmaster for thieves guild, and started in the bard college. I also knocked out quite a few annoying misc quests.

Level 30 with badass dragonscale armor now. Im so tired of grinding daggers lol. Next build im just cheating to get smithing/enchanting up.

Y'all play any of the daedric quests yet? So far they've been my favorite.

Level 30? Dayum.... Level 12 as it stands now.

Trying to buy a house so I can keep all my stuff there and marry Ysolda. :p

I wish the companions would have better AI. Since when does "Wait here" mean, "when I start fighting, go ahead and join in bro"?

I had to reload this one spot where I was trying to kill a giant and 2 mammoths and dumb ass would always jump in and get his ass mauled by the mammoths. I had the tactics down (use control animal to get the mammoth to fight the giant and then take out what was left). I just didn't want him to die because he was hauling all my stuff. :)

    Anyway, this game is badass.

My character is a female wood-elf btw.

Easy to hit 30 grinding daggers and enchanting. I also gained quite a few levels in the thieves guild. Sneak, enchant, smithing are all 100, and lockpick is nearly there.

I stopped using companions after my first died. All they do is get in the way of my fireballs.

Proudmore keep in solitude is my new pimp pad. Im just hopping someone comes along with a trophy room mod so I can admire some of the cool Shit I've picked up.

The one in Solitude is 25,000 gold right? Wow...

Just started smithing and enchanting so I could make some money selling them off for profit. Hopefully I'll level up faster now.

Dwemer ruins are an easy way to make money too.

Get smithing up to where you can make dwemer armor, then head to some ruins. There's tons of random dwemer metal laying around that you can smelt into ingots. Make some armor and profit.
