So, I just got my first major film project in the can. After two 12-hour days, I have sitting on my desk $500 worth of film that I and my 5 person crew busted our asses for this weekend. I'll get it processed this week (and say goodbye to another $700-800), sync up the sound, and start the editing process, aiming for a finished product in March or April of next year. We had some huge last minute problems (including being told less than 12 hours before our call time that we couldn't shoot at our confirmed location), but we finished ahead of schedule and at least $200 under budget. And we had a naked guy running around in a public hallway, which we had no permission for but did it anyway. Cliff's notes: I just shot my first major film (around 8 min when it gets edited) and I feel fucking fantastic.
