i might know of a custom shirt company that if you put in a special order you could get one with your name on it otherwise just print a generic t-shirt with like the T3D logo and all on the front with IDB below it and on the back the time line and if it was one with a name on it put it below the time line
I definitely planned on this one. A flag of maybe the top 100 avatars, and we could dig up all our favorites over the years that most represent the users.
Here's the first ones I tested an upload on (image logo was 2800x2000 or 2000x2000, 200 DPI). These are not final, just a test. I want to remove the Freakin' Source' tag and replace it with www.tweak3d.net (or nothing at all). I haven't tried to put the timeline on IDB's back yet, but I have to re-create the image because I made a mistake the first time. BTW we'd probably use GREY for the t3d shirt instead of white, but we'll have lots of color options as time progresses. Since there will be a lot of requests, we'll probably just keep changing the designs and you can buy them as they are released.
PM me if you find any more information about this. I need to know the specifics but if you have a web site or name of someone it'd help a lot. Yes I do. I can send it via e-mail and I'd like to see what you had in mind and wouldn't mind chatting about it if you have some time. PM me. I agree and we plan to have a few options and users will be able to pick and choose what they like instead of being stuck with one option. We can remove the T3D catch phrase, I have planned to change it anyway *ahem* plus it doesn't really fit. a simple URL would look nicer. The logo itself is quite professional and looks great at high resolutions. The timeline would be a novelty thing, but we might print it on the back of some shirts or mugs etc.
Oh I agree whole-heartedly that the current logo is bitchin'. I would wear that on a Tee no problem. Just the catch-phrase is reminiscent of meth for me. I don't know why the logo itself isn't, but, maybe it has something to do with the "Freakin'." ? either way, I am so down for one of these shirts. Any color is fine with me. And I wouldn't mind the timeline or IDB. But I do see it affecting my decision to wear it anywhere. Like if it had the timeline, I might not wear it out to a mall, but opt instead for jsut casually at my friend's house or something. However if it were just the logo, I wouldn't mind wearing it anywhere. Dunno if anyone really feels that way or not. Don't let me get in the way of the majority. That's for sure. We're gonna have to have a poll thread on some designs for the initial shirt release...
I'd prefer a black shirt because I usually browse t3d using the metroid prime theme. I also personally like the larger logo on the back and having the website url as the tag line would be a good idea.
i suggest white shirts for everyone. they make you look tanner DING! i'll take a black or white, doesnt matter. there needs to be a .net somewhere on the shirt or else people will think its a new brand or some dumb shit
I personally reccomend one professional design, and one casual design. I feel the professional shirt should have the Tweak3d logo on the chest, probably on a black shirt. Then we could also do a casual shirt with the IDB or timeline on it. I think this would cater to both crowds fairly well. Also, preordering would be a must. We would definitely get extra shirts, but need some sort of commitment from members before fronting that much cash. I will gladly help to fund the project, and will give all proceeds back to Dan. ~Will Courtier~
Just a heads-up -- I placed an order with CafePress for two shirts today. I ordered a white fitted tee with Tweak3D logo on front, timeline on back, like this: And I ordered a black shirt with just the Tweak3D logo that should look like this: Note for these shirts I removed the "Your Freakin' Tweakin' Source!" thing, but I might want to add www.tweak3d.net where it's at so there's a URL on there somewhere. I'll post the actual pictures when the products arrive (about a week). These are not the final designs, but I wanted to test Cafepress' quality. Note these are $19/each *cost*, so there's no real room for mark-up. However, if I ordered 15 or more, it'd be significantly cheaper, like $14/each or so, and I might go that route then ship them myself once we have established the demand.
Nice, I like it! Sign me up for two of the black fitted T's, if you'd like. I'd definitely wear that! ~Will Courtier~
I'd want the url on the logo. Wait a minute! Did the logo always have "3D" integrated into the heatsink?
ya let us know the quality of it. I was thinking of using them but worry about the quality. what dpi did you upload your images? EDIT: I found another cafepress like service at Custom T-shirts - Design, buy or sell customized TShirts : Spreadshirt. I've heard some good things about them as well and they seem to have more choices.
Dan, awesome. Let us know how it goes. You can put me down for a black and a white. I'll pay up to $25 shipped for each shirt, just to give you an idea of what the market pricing could be on this great item. I'd like to also see the url www.tweak3d.net --- somewhere. Let us know!! James
i'd buy both. and would really like the url being on the shirt. i'm willing to pay a mark-up to help fund the site and cost of shipping. i may be speaking too much for everyone else, but as far as the members from the lancaster/palmdale/quartz hill area, I wouldn't mind our shirts being shipped together and distributed out from someone out here. might save on the shipping costs. plus give me an excuse to meet up with my friends who i don't see as often since joining the marines. I dunno, I get the feeling jishory and scooby might be purchasing...
those are awesome. cant wait to get one. imma wear the shit out of it like my TRS and diggnation shirts
