So I started selling a bunch of idle crap. Mainly vinyls and some external drives and other things. I'm over 500 bucks now! It's my own little purge :)

been doing it for years. I know a bunch of people talk trash about ebay but i really like using it.

I learned if you ship anything of value to request a signature upon delivery so the buyer can not scam you out of your item.

Yeah, it's a lot like selling on Craigslist. You just have to set guidelines/boundaries for yourself based on common sense.
"Common sense" meaning that you know there are as many people on those sites that are out to scam you rather than buy what you have.
Use that filter and the spammers/scam artisits are fairly easy to spot. Never sell out of desperation.

Yeah, what I did was open a separate bank account and linked Paypal to that. I heard a lot of bad stories about freezing bank accounts.

So far it has been working out.

Good idea. Most people that get had, don't take any precautions at all.

Yeah, i had a financial revamp recently. I felt dumb leaving my cash in a crappy savings account for so long, I could have made at least 1,000+ putting it in a better interest account. Better late than never.

I started using it again after probably 2 or 3 years as a seller and I'm pretty impressed. I don't know what they did but it seems a bit cheaper or at least, the fees are less than what I remember.
