I splurged, and blew $10 (9.99 actually) on Sacred Gold, through Steam. This includes Sacred, the Plus Pack, and Sacred:Underworld. This game is HUGE! I liked the sacred demo, but it didn't prepare me for how large the map is. And every town/village has at least three subquests in them (though some are really stupid) for easy loot-binges. This game doesn't stop you from going places you don't have the ability to survive either! I accidentally portal'd in to an area with a freakin' HUGE dragon that (literally) toasted me in 1/10th of a second flat. It may not be as good a Diablo clone as Diablo 2, but it sure is $10 worth of good! Just remember to save often! With that, I'm off, to my level 21 daemon, to fight the Ice Elven Priestesses!
Looks pretty cool, and you can't beat the price. Having never ordered from Steam, how would I back up the game? Could I simply burn it to a disc?
When you download Steam it will give you the list of game you have from steam. You can right click and just do backup, it will make a folder you can then just copy it to dvd or cd. It will have a restore program with the backup folder.
DVD. There's 2 gigabytes of stuff, which would be hard to put on a CD... said Goofus, the proud defeater of two ice dragons... The Daemon has the best personality of all the characters, I think! Gimme blood and gimme gold. then gimme more blood!
I'll check it out. I'm looking for a game that's easier on my laptop than Hellgate London, performance wise. BTW, I love your avatar. That's my 3rd favorite anime, behind Berserk and FMP Fumofu.
Good thing, because Hellgate begins to suck ass really fast. I liked it at first, but it became really boring/generic/bland really fast. A matter of taste though, but the company flunk indicates that a lot of gamers think just like me on that topic.
