50" Panasonic TH-50PE8U Playstation 3 Work in progress . Next is a Pioneer Receiver with at least 3x HDMI, and 2x Klipsch standup speakers and a decent center channel. I'm just glad I have a nice TV in my room now.
Ya this is the TV I got for under 700 bucks at work. It was a Black Friday model, which means it has one less HDMI than the regular model, the TH-50PX80U. This one has 2x, which means nothing to me as I'm getting a Pioneer receiver in the near future. I hang out in the Home Theater dept. a lot lately and can say with confidence this would blow some/most 1080p LCDs out of the water at proper viewing distance. I was a bit hesitant to even give the TV a chance but I scored a hell of a deal and it has so far exceeded my high expectations. EDIT: The gray picture is from the plasma break-in and calibration DVD.
Just snapped this with my phone... it's a Sharp projector on a 120" screen in my living room. There's a 6.1 setup (cheap Yamaha HTIB stuff) with a pretty nice receiver. We have it hooked up to a PS3 and this is actually Hulu in the picture. I've also got that gaming chair in here. No special seats or anything, just a futon. It's a lot of fun but I'm not home enough to use it as much as I'd like.
BenQ W500 720P projector Decent upconverting dvd player JVC SU-DH1 (my review) Beyerdynamic DT770's White wall Hideous, yet comfortable, couch That's just over 90" diagonal image. Sitting 10 feet away it looks great to me (a non-videophile). I fucking love it
Here are some pics from when I bought the audio gear. I should be replacing the TV with a 50" plasma set in the next 3 months. Mine's an Ikea loveseat/bed with a 21" piece of shit TV, PS2 and some old beat up rockband drums I borrowed to practice...
And that cat sure does use it.....that is the playing-est cat I ever saw. She's definately an integral part of the home entertainment system.
My roomates have a 60" and a 42" TV with surround sound. They are obnoxiously big. I don't think I have turned either one on in over two months except to play music through the xbox if I have people over. I hate watching TV's.

man some of you suck lol. I have a 32" Sony HD CRT TV. Comcast HD digital cable with DVR. No DVD player, no gaming systems, no stereo. I do have a computer hooked up to it so I can watch stuff I've downloaded. How do you guys like the protectors? I want one but I watch a lot of TV and didn't really want to buy bulbs every 6 months or some shit like that.
My friends sharp HD 720p projector that he bought back in 2002 has never had its bulb replaced. We have watched sooooooo many movies on that thing I have no idea how the bulb is still working.
I'd take a quick snap but I have hideous wallpaper and it embarasses me Rundown though - 42" LG LCD TV XBox 360 Wii PS2 Soon to add (*hopes*) a 5.1 setup and a PS3 for blu-rays.
Hey smirnoff could you post a picture of your setup with your projector on and lights somewhat dim...? That setup looks sweet!

I'll try and rememeber to do that next time. But I can tell you, even very small amounts of ambient light really make it look pretty terrible. I've got my windows completely blacked out. Projectors can be a bit of a hassle in some ways (like ambient light considerations), but the benefits outweigh the inconveniences for me.
They're great aren't they. It must be more than a year since I got 'em and I don't even have upgraditis yet
