Whats the best kind of motor oil to use for a 4 stroke Honda 300EX ATV? I normaly use Penzoil Sae 10W40 though when I asked the people at the local dealer, they said that oil was for cars and not Atvs. Are they just pullin my leg or should I use something else.

I run Yamalube in my Raptor 660. 20W40
  4. I buy whatever's cheapest. If it's warm use thicker oil (40) if it's cold use thinner oil (30). Make sure to buy a filter for the thing too, you're wasting oil if you don't change the filter.

My Yamaha runs cheap penzoil 10W30 because I got a case of it for $20.

Anyone who tells you that there's a difference between standard oil and specialty "bike" oil is a liar.
