That sucks Matt, Emily is flying home today too. She had a 10:15pm tonight and it was canceled. She managed to buy another ticket for a different flight at 4:15pm or something, now THAT flight is delayed till 10:00pm. Hopefully she can get home for Christmas, and good luck to you as well.

Snow is up to my doors now and I'm probably stuck in my street now. I spent the whole day doing fun stuff (Swimming, hotpot, etc) but I doubt I'm going anywhere

It was like this yesterday too and I was outside picking ice and shoveling snow that turned into ice. And now all the roads are covered in ice.

Texas is starting to look more and more appealing each day.

make sure you go to south texas then. i lived in dallas for the first 13 years of my life and it gets into the teens in the winter. it doesn't snow (if it does, it's very little) but we did have ice storms. the winters are just short there.

Well, we got a few more inches of snow last night. Work is canceled for me again today. It's bee fun, but I'm ready for this snow to go away. Looks like we may have another two days of snow showers though before it warms up again though.

It's times like these that I'm thankful I can work from home. With my tight budget, I'm screwed if I can't work. Of course I was laid off of this great job but thankfully not untl the 2nd. In years past, I've had to miss work because of snow and it's hell on my finances.

I stayed in Dallas for like 5-6 months when my dad lived there years back, if I moved down there I'd more than likely end up in Houston.

I'm supposed to fly into Seattle tomorrow evening. I hope my flight isn't cancelled now, too.

By far the best thing about snow. I'm really jealous. :D

Best of luck, my friend. What airline?

Most Southwest and Alaska flights in and out of Seattle/Portland are canceled due to weather. I have some friends trying to get back to Portland right now and are trapped in San Jose.

I've been taking my dog out in the backyard to play in the snow for the past few days. Finally took some pictures...

Ya but it's not much above freezing and it's still going to be in the 20s at night. It is melting but a foot of snow is not going to melt between now and dark. That's going to make things hella slippery.

I shoveled snow the other day during the storm for over an hour, then came back in and could feel what was coming.

Here I am at home, sick out of work for 2 days. Can't wait to get back in tomorrow.

So now we have about 11-13" at my place, and its supposed to snow until next Friday. Some has melted though. At this point I was taking the Amtrak to Edmonds (N of Seattle) but all trains are canceled! Lame, may be trapped for the holidays. 950, hows the I-5 looking out your way? Maybe I can drive!

House 3 days ago... now about 7 more inches.

Nice 2 foot icicles outside bedroom window. I feel like I am in a ice cave... especially on weed! :D

On a lighter note I saw that dude from Who's Line Anyways and the Drew Carey Show (Ryan Stiles) buying some coffee downtown... the biggest celebrity? this town sees. He's not as goofy in real life, how disappointing.

I was out on I5 yesterday, and it was pretty clear, just slush mostly. Since its warmed up today I would bet its in pretty good shape today.

It's still above freezing, but I guess it will get pretty icy this evening since its supposed to be ~25 tonight.

I decided to walk around the neighborhood and take some photos for the family.

This poor guy has been plowing our entire neighborhood since about 7am this morning. I give him a lot of credit because he has done a great job.

Fun fact: This is the park where Obama gave a speech at his largest primary rally (75,000 people).

I don't think I can remember ever seeing ice form on the Willamette before.

A lot of people were cross-country skiing through the streets to get around.

I think this person has been there a little longer than 90 minutes.

well as 950 said my first flight was cancelled. the second flight i was booked on was cancelled as well after getting on the plane and sitting at the gate for almost 2 hours waiting to be de-iced only to be told the flight was cancelled since SEATAC ran out of de-icer. so i went into the huge ass line to try to get standby while a few of the friends i had made went to try and get us standby seats without standing in line. they succeeded and we all got standby seats for the 7.40am flight this morning (there were over 45 people on the standby list for the flight). so i spent last night on the floor of B5 in seatac. i was freezing and barely slept. it was awesome let me tell you. so my new friends and i managed to actually get on today's flight to newark, NJ. plane landed at 5, got my bag at 6 (i really don't understand why it takes an hour to unload a plane) and then my sister (who is fucking amazing and really helped me with all my travel stuff), got me a lincoln towncar with driver to take me from newark, nj to my parent's house in CT. i finally got here at like 9pm EST. I had been traveling since 2.30pm PST on sunday. what a fucking nightmare.

good luck to everyone else who has flights.

I've already gave up on any chances traveling. The news just said 9-28 inches of snow depending on what part of the metro area you're in
