Favorite MP map so far? I'm gonna say it's a toss up between Favela and Terminal. There's like 2 or so maps I still haven't tried yet. I played Highrise last night for the first time....it's way too open for my liking, not enough cover areas.

I also did some Demolition games, pretty fun and much more competitive than Team Deathmatch games.

BTW, 3rd person teams is pretty sweet.

I hate Favela, but holy fuck am I loving having a silenced Barrett and a silenced RPD on some big ol open map with a hill in the middle. 25-1, could have had a nuke if I had it on my guy.

When I get the equivalent of UAV jammer equivalent perk, I am going to fuck some people up with a silenced/acog'd RPD/Barrett.

e: Beat on veteran last night. Single player was good as fuck.

The SCAR is pretty sick. I'm still finishing up all the FAMAS challenges.

Are you talking about that desert map with bunkers and cave tunnels? That's probably my worst map in the whole game. I always score low in that map.

My favorite combo right now is a Bling'd Scar with the Silencer/ACOG combo and then for my other perks I use Stopping Power and Radar Scrambler. My secondary weapon is the auto shotgun. It's sick. I can't wait to get the M16 though. I'm only level 21 right now.

Holy shit, I swear to god I was going nuts yesterday. I was doing the Oilrig level on veteran and about ready to break something. It was at the final part where you're forced to use thermal vision. I must've died at least 30 times. That cheap-ass AI was coming from all angles and popping up behind me. It felt good doing the breach afterwards though.

WTF, get your ass online and earn it yourself. You make it sound like an MMO grind.

I watched a friend do that. It's soooo boring -_- I couldn't stick around and watch, so I doubt I'll ever do it. I just like earning stuff myself.

Yeah but I'm curious as to how IW will respond to that. From what I read at IW forums, it's not a true "dedicated server" as in the host takes up a slot?

I'm all for PC gaming and I thought COD4 was awesome for PC. When it comes down to it though, the PC version is a straight port of the 360. I switched my pre-order from PC to 360 the night of release just due to the sheer size of copies being sold for PS3 and 360. It was ridiculous. THe guys had the whole wall filled with console copies and they hadn't even unpacked the PC version.

Majority of PC gamers feel hosed by the lack of support. For me, it was about going with a larger crowd. Given all the PC issues, I don't really see it staying that strong in a year's time. Just my opinion though...

PS - Finally beat the game on Veteran. Great ending...I love the rappeling bit towards the end.

Yeah, that is what has me leaning to PS3 as well. If the matchmaking is the same all the way around and the only difference is KB/Mouse support then I may go PS3.

The thing with the DS hack is it also opens doors to other hacks (as seen in the video). If IW turns their backs on the Dedicated Servers, you lose the IW.net anti-cheat systems and you're on your own...
but if they look the other way, then it could be a good thing for the PC version.

I wish they wouldn't have just ported it over. I would have paid an extra $5 for a "proper" PC release....

90% of the reason Win7 is even on my Mac was to play this game on it. Just pisses me off...

Had a bad time with the matchmaking yesterday. Every TDM game I joined dropped me off in a losing team and/or a match that was over within a minute.

Get used to that.... It's common on all platforms...

Reason I went from PS3 COD4 back to PC. Now it's all the same...

I thought it was a good length. Up the difficulty if you want to make it last. Every call of duty game works off of progression. If you sprint your way to the front lines and take out like 2-3 guys, you've 'cleared' the area. I'm sure that's how people zoom through the game on easier modes. They just spray and pray without stopping. Turn a corner too fast and you're toast in Veteran.
