Are you thinking of soul gems? There is a kind of soul gem that's reusable.

oh man..I love this game! it gets even better the higher lvl's you go

    anyone using any mods?

right now I am using a few, just one that balances a few of the birthsigns (apprentice is 25percent weakness to weapons, instead of 100percent weakness to magic) another that balances encumbrance, and a very kickass levelling mod.

each skill you level up in, is a percentage of a stat point. so blade is 80 percent of a strangth point, and 20 percent agility. etc. when you get 8 stat points, you level up. I like it alot more than the original way of playing. it lets me play how I want to play, instead of worrying about micromanaging my skills to stat points ratio.

Has anyone created custom armor that isn't just a texture swap yet? Like unique geometry? I really want to build a few armor sets.

Whoa, that sounds sweet, what's it called? I'm using the Saddle Bags, Weather Control Ring, and BT mods.

The coolest quest so far - Dreamworld quest (don't remember actual title)

    Possible spoiler

<s>Basically you speak with the argonian that gave you the mage guild recommendation and she takes you to her good friend that is stuck in a dream. She gives you the amulet to go in his dream and take him out. You go in and he's trapped because he's gone mad and lost a lot of his characteristics that he was trying to enhance in the dreamworld. So you go through about 4-5 'portals' to get them back.</s>

The whole concept was really cool.

i dont think I like this levelled monsters bit. I've been doing alot of dungeon exploring, and it seems damn near every place I go I gain At LEAST a level. this game just got real hard, real fast. Imma cry when i hit level 20. (level 18 right now)

btw, has anyone not even started the main quest yet? (like myself)

I stopped the main quest a little bit after closing the Kvatch gate. Once you get sidetracked, it's very hard to get back to the main quest. You realize how much the game offers.

I just finished the mage guild quests...and im alittle dissapointed.

I wish there were more to these kidna quests.

Like the Mages guild. I'd like to see more become of it. I mean, the mages guild and arcane university control all the mages n stuff, and should hold all kinds of cool artifacts.

I think a cool addon would be, like when you finished, you could go to the arcane library and see that they have all of these artifacts they dont know anythign about. So you have mini quests where you discover their origins, and in turn, their powers, then you get to use them in your quests.

Like they have an ancient mage's staff that they discovered in some ruins, they give you some clues, you run off to the ruins, find out its a staff that belonged to *insert ancient wizard here*. you fight him, learn that it does 100 frost dmg, 25% weakness to magic for 30 seconds, and fortifies magic 50 pts. go back to the library, and they give it to you, because you are arch-mage.

that'd be badass. or even in the thieves guild, once you are the grey fox, people bring you rumors of cool treasures that you have to steal.

in short, its an aweosme game, but I feel they could have done more in sidequest terms, rather than just throw a whole shitload of random stuff in each town.

I agree that the sidequests are rather lame. I just got done doing one where a Master Armorer asks you to by his crush some gifts with 50g. 4 silver cups and a silver pitcher. Like I was really going to walk around Cyrodill looking for that shit. I just went to the Chorrol castle dining room, shut the door, put on sneak and jacked em. Too easy...but funny at the same time.

I had a wierd glitch with that quest... as soon as I completed it, all of my items and gold were stripped from my inventory. So I reloaded to the autosave just before completion and then loaded up the Dimentional Pocket mod to deposit my items... I still lost the gold though... all 999000 of it. (Pirate Ship near the very begining of the game has 1 000 000 gold in a very hard chest).

I finished the last of the guild quests this weekend and I've done pretty much every side quest I could find. I think I'm done with the game for a while. :)

i've decided to work on the main quest for a bit, before I get bored with the game. In morrowind, i went and did the interesting quests, got super high levelled, and just stopped playing, because the main quest was just far far too easy.

not this time. i will be the hero, dammit.

okay, real quick question I have.

do you have to sleep to regain health? I remember seeing it on a loading screen that you have to sleep to regain lost health.

on my game, I can just wait and my health and magica are fully restored, even if its only waiting an hour. isnt that the way its supposed to be?
