Now that it's too late... (Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics)

Did anyone else nab them while they were free on GOG.com?

I did, and now I'm playing Fallout 1 with official latest fallout patch (US version), the unofficial 1.3 patch, and the hi-res patch (doesn't offer better graphics, but runs fallout at higher resolutions). It took me a while to get used to the Fallout Way Of Doing Things, but now I'm having fun in the Hub...

High res fallout? I hated how I had to run it at 640x480. I had no idea!

I run mine at 1280x1024. I don't use scaling, since that just makes it look like 640x480 on my monitor, which kind of defeats the purpose... The cutscene movies and splash screens look bad, but they looked bad to start with anyway!

Can someone explain to me why DOGMEAT seems to be the most hardy and effective NPC in the game? All the other idiots just rush to their imminent demise like lemmings. sigh. Anyhow, here's the entrance to the hub, with me, Ian, Dogmeat, and whatzizname from Junktown.

I just upgraded that launcher to infinite ammo.....I doubt she'll ever have to pawn anything ever again.
