New info about GTA IV online multiplayer mode

Anyone excited? I've had it pre-ordered for about a year now. New details have been published about the multiplayer modes in GTA4.

With Grand Theft Auto IV, Rockstar has finally delivered a fully fleshed-out multiplayer experience. This is what we know so far:

* Total of 15 different game modes.
* Configuration of each mode can be adjusted by the host.
* Maximum of 16 players.
* Characters are completely customizable.

Game Modes: What We Know

* HANGMAN'S NOOSE
Single player mission that features co-op play. The objective? Escort a mobster to safety while being pursued by the Liberty City Police Department's SWAT division.
* MAFIA WORK
Working under the direction of Kenny Petrovic via. your cellphone, you will compete against other players in a series of "hits" (assasinations) on a particular target.
* TEAM MAFIA WORK
The objective is the same as Mafia Work, but you will be working with other players in a coordinated team effort.
* DEATHMATCH
It's a complete free for all! The host can define police intervention, number of pedestrians, amount of traffic, and weapons that will be available.
* TEAM DEATHMATCH
Deathmatch in a team-based scenario. You'll be working with other players to rack up kills on your oponents.

* COPS N' CROOKS
One team plays as the LCPD while the other team takes on the role of criminals. The objective is simple; the cops must catch the crooks before the crooks can escape to safety. To aid them in their pursuit, players taking on the role of the Liberty City Police Department will be able to use their GPS to track down the criminals. The criminals, on the other hand, are flying blind with no GPS device of their own.
* RACE
The host of the game will be able to choose which vehicles are used and how many laps will be played.
* GTA RACE
Identical to the Race mode, but with the added benefit of weapons (Molotov cocktails and grenades) and the ability to steal your opponents' cars.

Game Modes: What We Don't Know

The following game modes haven't had their details revealed to the public (at least not yet). We've tossed together a few concepts of what we might expect from each one. Keep in mind that these are purely speculative, and should not be considered final.

* CAR JACK CITY
Our thoughts? Players will be given a list of vehicles to be collected and delivered to a particular spot.
* BOMB DA BASE
Our thoughts? One team is on the offensive while the other team is on the defensive. The assaulting team of players will need to detonate a series of objectives within a given amount of time.
* BOMB DA BASE II
Our thoughts? The name of the mode is a throwback to one of the most memorable missions in Grand Theft Auto 3, so we expect the gameplay to follow the mission setup pretty closely. We believe that this will once again be a team-based mode. On one team, a single unarmed player will be designated to detonate an objective that is extremely well protected -- his teammates will need to provide the cover. The defending team, of course, will need to work at all costs to take him out.
* TURF WAR
Our thoughts? Just like in San Andreas, teams will compete to dominate territory in Liberty City.
* DEAL BREAKER
Our thoughts? In this "capture the flag"-esque mode, players will compete against one another to steal an objective and get it back to their "base" without being killed.
* FREE MODE
Our thoughts? Complete free for all. No rules, no objectives, no score. You're free to do whatever you wish.
