i got a fan i wanna fix, and not resort to buying a whole new one because i love its sound.
i used my DMM to test the thermal fuse for continuity, its obviously blown. its an old fan and ive cleaned and reoiled it several times already, so its probably about that time.

    its a 1AMP, 115C, 322 UMI, 250V K1 markings.
looks like the key things to look for in a replacement is 1 amp, 115c or a little above, and 250V

theres one at radioshack, but its 10AMP max, 240V max, and 128C max
would this cause a problem, a fire, or will just blow out fast or not at all?

any help with clarification for min and max on this delimma would be help.
i could probably order the exact same replacement on mouser or similar smd part site, but i need this fixed NOW.

holmes 120v, 60hz, 0.7amps on the fans label.

im wondering if the thermal fuse will allow too much amperes through and just toast the thing or cause a fire.

I'm worried that it says 10 amps max, if the old one draws 1 amp, and the new one draws 10 amps, depending on the wire size you have the potential to melt a wire and start a fire.

does the thing have a model number on it. usually when I'm matching fans for equipment that's what I go by.
