A month or so ago Nvidia came out with a driver update to my graphics card. I did the update and my laptop started running poorly. A couple days later I reversed the update and everything ran good up until a couple days ago. I have now twice got the blue screen system memory dump. I have read this could happen because the driver was not fully installed or uninstalled. True? The Nvidia drivers are still trying to update but I am hesitant because of before. I dont want my laptop running poorly again. What should I do? I read I should completely uninstall my my old driver and the reinstall the new driver. Is that true? Not sure what to do.
I had a similar problem with my PC. The Nvidia driver would BSOD Win 7, I rolled back and I haven't had a BSOD in weeks. Personally I have a GTX 560 Ti which was released in January of 2011, do I think that Nvidia is still releasing significant updates for my video card: no. Do I use my video card for gaming: Sparingly. Will I continue to update my drivers: no
