Ha! I'm hoping the girl gets her libido from her mother. I'd love to think Palin is a horny little devil!

But as to "what the VP does", does anybody know? Over the last eight years I've come to believe it's shoot associates in the face and clog arteries. :)

EDIT: LOL at the Palin / pregnant daughter thing. She went from zero to scandal in record time!

It's about balance imo. There's a correct party (tool) for every job. In hindsight I think this is a pretty good (albeit cheeky) look at the 04 elections.

When I say balance I mean balance of power between parties, but also balance between our own self interests and those interests of everyone else. There is a middle ground.

Something that bothers me is how we personalize our support for politicians. Politicians are tools. We should have no more feelings toward politicians than we do towards a hammer or pair of pliers. If a hammer doesn't work you cast it aside and you give the screwdriver a shot; there is no emotional history, no thinking 'I trust the hammer' or 'the hammer worked before'. You keep on hammering, you're just gunna break something.
    [/rant]

Winnipeg is rediculously socialist. It's welfare central, and the city is decrepit. Lazy poor people everywhere. Imo the right tool for the job right now is cold hard capitalism.

    What's right for America?

I'm sure none of the people at the top want anyone to have a better education, keep the people stupid and they do what you tell them.

But sadly, it'll not come to pass with a : Debt to the Penny (Daily History Search Application) balance.

This is a debt of $32,000 for every man woman and child legally in the USA. it grows daily and education has become but a thing to manipulate and hold hostage for higher taxes.

You guys need to read the black portions of what I write. I'm pissed to be sure, but not once in a year of ranting have I blamed anyone else for the faulty decisions I've made. I do have regrets for not being a cut throating, 'fuck everybody as long as I get mine' type person, but there is no amount of "success" that makes that sort of personal change a priority or
sollution of any kind for me. IMHO: this is why we are where we are at with the state of the union and even the state of our planet.
The sollution isn't to join in on the "game" of fucking anything that stands in your way to get what it is you think will make you happy. That is where my rant lies. Everyone seems to be willing to be the problem and point fingers at the one's who won't participate in order to justify unto themselves that it's OK to live in a manner they know within themselves has a dead end somewhere down the line....hopefully several generations down the road.
This way of chasing the "american dream" is catching up to the citizens of this nation. And what most would rationalize as happening generations down the road.......may be just around the corner. Put it another way: the industrial revolution is when this crap started and many generations before you have put off paying the bill.....it is coming due and payable in full. Then, where is the me-first'ers going to stand when the only way to get through life is going to rquire the kind of togetherness it took to settle and build this continent? As stated before, alot of my rants are food for thought, a view of another life that most here will not have to endure. does anyone get that message?....No, instead they put forth dribble about how "if I can do it, anyone can", and rationalize that they did everything right, therefore bad decisions have to be blamed. Bad decisions are partially to blame, but the "me-first" mindset is the lion's share of why inequality exists to the extent it does. i do not expect anyone to pay my way, I've been doing it since i was 13. I do, however, resent it when i'm not allowed to get back up after falling or being tripped.
    The numbers:
Ask.com Search Engine - Better Web Search

There is only so much pie to go around, if everyone was successfull, the pieces of pie would be smaller. If the economy totals out, there will be no pie. I don't take offense at the shit you guys spew my way, I know it helps you feel better about your lives. I do need to caution you though: what some of you comment on is unfounded as you haven't even lived long enoughto be faced with the decisions that can destroy you or limit your income all together. it's easy to be cocky and arrogant when it is some comment on a matter you haven't been faced with.....in football, they're called armchair quarterbacks. I sincerely hope none here has to eat any words they put out there in efforts to bolster themselves. i was pretty set
on my path to "the good life" when i was 25: 2 homes, good income, family, boat, three cars, motorcycle, etc. by thirty, all was gone, by 35 all was regained. I recovered from the dotcom crash, rebuilt and got took down and recovered by the energy scandals. Face it, your "luck" may just be in the hands of someone else. my point is, when you get into your fifties, let's see if you are still self-made and doing great. Then you will have enough info to compare your life to mine.

You are misinterpreting what I meant by "playing the game". To play the game you don't have to be cut throat and screw other people, you just have to be aware of those that are doing that and use that to your advantage;)

Everyone needs something, you don't have to be the one doing the taking, you can be the one doing the supplying.

For example, during the gold rush everyone was going to California and staking their claim, playing the game would mean realizing what opportunity you had in front of you such as setting up an inn, goods shop, even opening a bar would bring in more money than panning for gold.

With skills like yours wiskas, I'm sure you could come up with something in no time.

There's some question as to whether that is actually her baby, or if it's her daughter's. It seems that her daughter suddenly left school for 5 months due to "mono", after which Sara was suddenly 7 months pregnant! Just like they did it back in the days when good little girls didn't get pregnant, but just had extended illnesses or moved to another town...

Of course, her little girl is pregnant again. Then there's her little bout of personal abuse of power, in the divorce of her brother-in-law.

Finally, the Democrats have salacious gossip to chew over, to compete with all the "Barack is a Muslim White-Hating Flag burner with a Black Panther wife" gossip! :)

Use that to my advantage eh? I'm quite aware of "who" is doing it, how they are doing it and why they are doing it. when i call an apple an apple, nobody wants to hear that shit because it may pop thier bubble and threaten them in one way or another. i'm quite ready to just go ahead and get labeled a disabled person and pull SSD, school grants, food stamps, hud, voc rehab and all the entitlements I'm qualified for and let all of you guys foot my bill. it works for illegals. i've resisted, but the options are few, the oportunities are fewer, especially in the trades. A back injurry spells death at age 50....nobody will even concider hiring you. I've suffered numerous back injuries in 30+ years and have only this last time filed a worker's comp claim for them.
What I was told 30 years ago is true concerning filing a claim. Just for the record: AIG is a bunch of dips/dicks when it comes to thier industrial accident coverage.

Tesla had a hard time getting work also. i've worked from 10 years old until the present. it's all i know how to do. When i was severely addicted to meth and smack, I didn't resort to thievery, I held a job and/or sold to other addicts, which killed my conscience all the while. The rule of law lets criminals profit from thievery as the theft of 2100 bux worth of tools showed me. the guy was a lifelong criminal, was caught red handed and for his fifth offence, got three years probation on top of the five years he already has been sentence. he was ordered to pay $1400 restitution for what he stold from me and the damage to the jobsite. There is no guarantee of recooperating a single cent and this fuck walks free with foodstamps and public assisence. There is no rule of law, only how much a person can get away with. I really do not want to add to a drain on society, I've always contributed, but guys and gals, my body is worn out and i'm so tired that sometime there doesn't seem to be any other option, though the furian (you aren't affraid of the dark are you?) in me keeps me pushing on.
BTW: I've noticed that talent doesn't trump politics, not at a bankcorp or at MickeyD's even.

You're right, things did scew off on a new tangent. A near dozen houses isn't that much. Unless they're huge mansions or something. now if the properties were gifts, I'd have a beef about that. I wonder what the real dollar amount of all the gifts is, that the typical politician that reaches the level of congressperson is? A person can possibly take the reported amounts and times them a thousand fold and come close?

Yeah, if you ever get in one of the higher brackets, you'll be bitching to high heaven.

What gets me is that people are so damn short sighted and never think about where they're going to be in five, ten, twenty, thirty years. You (presumably) aren't going to stay in the 19-37k tax bracket forever, are you?

It's like the reasoning the people who expect to make a living on minimum wage use. The problem is that nobody expects to move upwards, nobody saves any money. Nobody does shit.

I can tell you that (if I'm where I plan on being) in twenty five years, a 15% increase in the capital gains would be catastrophic for me. Hell, even a ten percent increase would suck... and I'm not even getting into people who have small businesses that need to be filed on personal income.

Anyone who raises capital gains can go to hell. I don't need the $800 now so you can fuck me with $100,000 later.

... and I'm not even getting in to what's "fair" and what's not. You want fair? Go to a flat tax and quit fucking with evil people who make money.
