The Home Depot and Lowes are like 5 blocks from each other in my part of town. I haven't had very good help at either one... the people may know a general isle number where to find something, but nothing beyond that.

Just like the HD and lowes here. may as well be shopping at walmart. I generally dispise places like that anyhow. if i have to go intop one., I have to make an entertainment game out of it. it amuses me to listen to all the wrong advise given to newby homeowners. I can only imagine how pissed the people get who take advice from anyone at Lowes. I nearly go balistic when those ads come on TV. "Let's build something"..............yeah right. i nut up when the wife has HGTv on all the time. very few people on there that actually know something. Mostly people who were told what to say and guys that know just enough to be dangerous.

all the damn home depots and lowe's are within a street of each other here, usually in lots next to each other. crazyness. i think part of the lowes == women, home depot == men is just habit at this point. I know a few people that wont go to lowe's just because of that (they cant give any concrete reasons besides "its a hardware store for girls)
