This was good news indeed! Go-go SpaceX!
What is this exactly?
I could google it, but I'd rather one of y'all explain it to me
Space-X's booster was recovered after launch by landing it gently.
It's now recycled space hardware rather than just another chunk of space junk.
recycle a 60-90 million dollar rocket. teh win!
especially when the sky looks like this:
I thought boosters burned up falling back into and through the atmosphere. Regardless, point taken.
Heh, maybe a shroud of space junk will someday prevent global warming. And crops!
Not every time. Some parts are rather heat resistant:
Stop posting pics of my house!
You got a bell house? Awesome!
yeah, that looked really cool. Almost like the launch vid but in reverse.
Yep. Great news.
Now there are two corporations able to bring them back alive. Blue Origins is still ahead in the landing count though.
Fun fact... Jag/Alex B is at SpaceX.
Wow! It's mah birthday buddy!
"at SpaceX" meaning working there?
That'd be a really cool gig.
Yup, he's an engineer.
And............SpaceX does it a 2nd time!
