I thought it was pretty catchy, really a good song. He did use music from Sweet Home Alabama and Werewolves of London. There has been a lot of controversy on his talent and whether or not he deserves the fame for this song. What do you guys think? I really like it.

Well, he was a DJ before he got big so it really isn't out of his element to use samples and beats/licks from others songs.

Good to see he still has trashy girls in his videos, though.

Oh and when I was trying to look up the first kid rock CD i bought (which was early 90's) I found this little picture on amazon.

ive always been partial to his music even though he makes strides to put the "real american" back into rock.

i dont mind the sampling and tune copy, hell everyones doing that these days.
its a positive summer song thats all that matters... none of that cutting wrists and killing mah "niggas" garbage.

His music is the kind that I sing along to when I'm wasted, that's about as far as my interests in him go.

i like the song. I like a lot of Kid Rock's music actually. He has musical talent. He can play SEVERAL musical instruments so it's not like someone writes his songs and he just goes out and sings them. he is a talented musician, rather you personally like him or not.

maybe you are just picky with music :D j/k

i'm not picky at all. not sure if that's a bad thing or a good thing. the only music I don't really like is country and r&b.

Yeah, I know I'm picky, and I can be an arrogant prick about it. I see Kid Rock as a tool that's making a living off of a gruff, redneck image and the Hank Williams name. His latests hits include unoriginal musical works, which is bottom of the barrel in my book. I've never seen sampling as a form of originality.

    american music is garbage. period

the music industrial complex of the usa and what it does

top standard genres of american music
    - emo, to increase suicide rates among young white teens, inhibit the pharmaceutical trends
    - rap, increase black on black crime and poverty
    - rock, increase alcohol consumption and depression
    - hard rock, metal, etc, increase blood pressure of individuals and death rate subsequently
    - punk/underground, to further help the prison industrial complex through violence and hate
    - pop, to further consumerism and glamour

they say you are what you eat.. same holds true for what you listen to.

NEW American music is garbage... I still love Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Segar, Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, (OLDER) Metallica, AC/DC, and many others...

lol! that's a hilariously accurate statement for alot of people :p I've been there.

The songs has a catchy beat, that regardless of how you feel about it isn't his. anyone with a decent voice can take already popular songs and throw some crappy lyrics to the beat. Thats not something I feel you deserve a ton of credit for, but if people like the sound and gets you paid, more power to you.

lol, I think you might be starting to get a little carried away with the conspiracy's at this point :p

    someone cue the roflcopter.
