I'm thinking about getting it but I'm a cheap ass so I want to know if its worth it? I would be getting PSP and Twisted Metal. I read that Twisted Metal plays online which I thought would be a badass thing to try..
I use mine more for emulation than I do for PSP games. There aren't a ton of "must have" PSP games yet although I loved the hell out of Ridge Racers and Lumines. I still play mine a few times a week easy so I'd say it's worth it for me at least.
Because I haven't bought a bigger memory card for mine I haven't used it since I got it (when they first came out). If I did have a bigger memory card then I'd be using it for emulation and web browsing.
Kinda got tired of mine. I only played it when I traveled. Wasn't very many places that I went to take it along with me. Also, I dont like playing it in my house.
Yeah. Once I beat T.H.U.G.2 I haven't really played. But I also haven't purchased any games or anything. If I had other games to play it would probably get more use. I want to get emulators working on it. But yeah, need the bigger mem stick.
I have about 20 NES and 20 Gameboy games on my 32mb stick with enough space left for a few save slots. Just can't really fit 16bit ROMs on just the 32mb stick.
Does anyone want to give the rundown of exactly how the firmware thing is implemented? what do you need to do to run a browser on this thing? Im waiting for a pricedrop before I buy mine, hopefully I can score it at 250$ cndn one day, then I'll buy.
afaik, you just download the firmware to your computer, and then install the file to the PSP over the wireless or through a USB cable(I'm sure more details on the actual install are available at the download page). The latest firmware is all you need to run the browser.
Man I'm thinking about getting this. I will have 2 hours between classes on MWF and studying will suck for 2 hours. Plust they have WIFI in the halls so I could play Twisted Metal online.
Dude, SCREW the browser! You need newer firmware for that. Stick with 1.5 and you will NOT be disappointed. There are a lot of "other" things that can be done with 1.5.
Do you think they will be able to crack it? I want to get this, the guy is selling it for 190 bucks and Twisted Metal and another game..
get it. I need to figure out how to get bootstrap roms to work. All the sites I've found only offer the emu's that require card swapping... gay gay gay
dont get it, if you are anything like me, you will play it for about a month, then get bored, happens with just about any gadget I get gba SP, minidisc player, hell even my PDA didnt last that long (well it did, kept lots of class notes, and girls #'s in it...but then it lost all its memory somehow, and I lost it out of spite)
I would just buy it and if you get tired of it you could easily sell it for more than you bought it for if he's only asking 190 for all that.
It looks like the new firmware mght be cracked sooner rather than later!! http://www.psphacks.net/content/view/342/2/
bangin. I still have 1.5 firmware. I don't plan on updating until they have it cracked for sure with no backlash from Sony.
Exactly and it's one of the reasons why I still haven't returned or sent my psp in for warranty, even though it has about 20 dead pixels:|
