To be honest, I gave Ivwshane a ration of shit after he locked a thread recently but, I kept it in a PM.

My memory is foggy at this point, but from what I remember...it was months of prolonged personal attacks. And then he started making statements about my family - :;shrug:: I had had enough at that point and for being a teen and not just getting pissy right away I think I was in the right : P.

Problem with that, is that if it were a good thread with real debate (instead of flaming) that turned south, instead of being able to return it to civility, it would just be thrown into the flame board to be totally trashed. Not sure that is any better than just locking it...

I'm not really for it. I think we can maintain a civil atmosphere for the most part, and something like that could even spill into the other forums in worse ways, instead of preventing it...
