Gotta get rid of those dealer license plate holders... will be getting plates in about two weeks I think.

    So fresh, so clean.

I can't believe they painted that house pink...

I love this feature :p (it does go all the way down, and can be opened with the remote)

It has just about every option possible

I've been thinking about making the doors gull-wing. (just kidding)

Leather, (fake) wood trim, two tone interior.

    Front seats and such...

And the back, which are very comfortable. (as are the fronts, imho)

    Subwoofers go here /\

Room to sleep (at an angle), or to haul my stuff cross country in a little over a month.

Been a while since I've shaved my head, since July in fact.

Well, there it be. I am very happy with it.

I spend lots of the time in Washington doing stuff with the Northwest Toyota club I run and Burien has hosted a bunch of MR2 events in the past as well as have a great track record for excellent service :)

Out of curiosity, why is it that you don't like leather?

    (one payment by the way)

oh, awesome car scott. looks really nice

i feel the same way as sims. we may have different motivations but mine are as follows:

leather gets really hot and sticky in the summer and super cold in the winter. when i'm wearing shorts and sweat, my legs stick to the seat and my back gets a big sweat stain from the leather not breathing. also, leather has an uncanny ability to not hold you in the seat during hard cornering =P

A 4runner? After all your enlightenment I would have thought you would have picked something else.

There was nothing that fit my needs and got better milage, if there were, I would have gotten it. And two cars (a larger one and a small high mpg one) is pretty unworkable since I don't stay in one place for very long.

Shoulda bought the milk.

sorry, set u up for that one. Man, that is a sweeeeet ride. I used to obsess over 4Runners on EbayMotors when i thought i could actually afford a new car. And i always looked for the ones w/ leather and wood trim. Ur a lucky man. A very, very lucky man.
  18. You know real leather doesn't do that don't you?

The leather in my car does hold me down in the corners and doesn't stick to my bare skin like vinyl does. Though it does get kind of cold, and does cause a little bit of sweat on the back if its hot out.

oh, so a $60k volvo has fake leather? ;) jk.

during the winter in new england and sweden it gets real fuckin cold. not the low of 55 we get in socal. everytime i sat in leather when it was below zero outside i thought my ass was gonna freeze to the seat. leather gets cold and takes a long ass time to heat up. even though i crank the ac up high in the summer i still get a swaety spot on my back. as for the sliding thing, i drove a car with leather upholstered corbeau racing seats and i felt myself submarining in the seat more than once under hard braking...

i much prefer half and half seats. of course the ultimate would be suede, but thats a pretty penny over leather haha

I actually don't like it for a lot of the same reasons, climate is also one of them, we have VERY cold winters (minus 40C anyone?) and really hot summers, so leather is freezing in winter and uncomfortably hot come summer.
Its also heavier and mixed with the additional costs associated I just don't think it’s worth it. My biggest reasoning is that on most cars the leather just plain feels cheap to me. The leather in most cars today is awful, I have yet to sit in any Japanese car that I can think of of the top of my head, minus the NSX(and I’d still rather the type R seats :p), where I really enjoyed the leather. On any of the middle class and even some of the high-end Japanese luxury cars it just plain feels cheap and uncomfortable to me. Even the high-end Lexus infinity and acura’s didn’t impress me at all let alone any of the affordable cars. Has anyone ever set in the leather in an acura 1.8EL? my bother in law has one, I would Much rather have the cloth interior, the leather feels like its from a toy car or something, its aweful, I find that’s the case with most any Japanese car.

And I don’t even want to get started on American cars, that’s a whole nother world of aweful, has anyone set in the sets in an H2 or a corvette? There brutal, a friend of mine has both.

If you start getting into the middle and high end European cars they do actually have some very very nice and comfortable leather, anything BMW or Mercedes or audi do indeed have very nice and comfortable leather in them, that’s just not the kind of car I’m after right now, On any car I’d currently consider buying, it would be cloth.
