Good luck man. I'm near giving up. I think a lot of companies now think they have the upper hand and want people with 8+ years experience. I don't get it. I'm on the verge of giving up for a bit but I'm so bored sitting at home all day. All my friends work or are at school so it just gets that much more depressing. The worst things I see is entry level positions requiring 3+ years experience. What the fuck is up with that?

Might as well try and get another internship or something if your gonna give up, even if it's paid or not.

I wouldn't do an internship for free. No company is worth working at for free.

Holy shit dude, it sounds like you have that job in the bag... almost.

If you do not get this job because of your credit history. You have my blessing to kill your exwife.

Ya, my potential boss and hr say it shouldn't be a problem so I hope they are right.

And, unfortunately, killing her would just make it worse for me because they would probably come after me for all her bills that she hasn't paid. She hasn't paid a dime on any of her side of the debt. And she moves and changes her phone number all the time do dodge collection calls. I have no idea where in the world she even is.

I got a fricken scare today...

I've heard (via rumors of course) that they were going to drop a dozen or people from the body shop next week. Technically I am a driver but I work for the body shop...picking up parts...supplies....etc..... and then I make a run with my truck and when I get back they are escorting people to the front b/c they fired a bunch of them.

I get a call from my boss on my radio saying they want to see me in the office! I thought that was the end of it. Luckily they just had a question for me about these new log sheets we have to do... but in that process I found out they fired 8...two quit and they are looking at another 6 to let go.... and from what I understood they aren't letting any of us drivers go....but what a fricken heart stopper!!!

What would you do if you lost your job MT? Would it be tough to another trucking job?

Yes and no.... The company as a whole has put a hiring freeze...so thats a good indicator that things are bad... BUT if I looked hard enough I could find another local gig in town to work...maybe it won't pay as well and involves more physical labor...but yeah I could... I don't want to go back over the road again because I can't give up my daughter like that....I'll clean toilets at the corner gas station before I leave her. So if there are no driving gigs....I'll find something else that gives me an income and keeps me in town....

Being a man-whore is out though....there aren't as many chubby chasers in Phoenix I've come to find.....

still waiting. they have quite the extensive background check process. I did my drug test yesterday morning. Hopefully I'll find out today or tomorrow about it all. I'll certainly let you all know.
