yeah, Ive shot one of those before. My dad has an ak that we shoot regularly. My brother and I got 240 rounds of the same ammo for one day of shooting, that was fun. We used it all not to mention the ammo for the 357 mag and my 30-30.

Yea the yugo SKS's are of very good quality, I think, don't quote me on it, but I think they use milled and not stamped parts.

I can get 1100 rounds of 762 russian surplus (almost garbage for accuracy, dirty primers but 100% reliable) for like 200$ its pretty sweet.
It comes in this shitty wood crate with foil wrapping and individual unmarked boxes, they all have laquered shell casings too.

They're sold out of yugo sks's unfortunatley though.. they don't even have the shitty norinco chineses copies left...

I bought my Chinese SKS from a local FFL. 150 bucks, no waiting, no background check, no record of the purchase. I could totally go on a killing spree with this baby and then just chuck in into the ocean.

Whoa, how the hell did you get that?

The ATF has banned all chinese made replicas in the united states... at least ones that are based off of US designs. I'm pretty sure that it applies to all chinese replicas.

I managed to meet a guy who had one and wanted to sell it, simple as that. Here in Ohio private owners can sell firearms without any oversight at all.

But as for the question "Why do you needs guns?" the answer is simple - because it's pleasurable to fire them! The equivalent to that question might be "Why do you drink wine?" or "Why do you screw your wife?" Because it's fun! Not to mention there is the element of protection. I live in a town that has had its fair share of race riots over the last four decades. I wouldn't live in this town without the ability to protect my family and my property. There was a small riot / shooting that went on about 6-7 miles from where I live just this past weekend...

SoulAssassin, did you hear about that? 3-4 people ended up getting shot at the intersection of Madison and Wetzel on Friday night.

I heard about it but don't know a lot about the incident. Cincinnati is getting to the point where I want to get a 9mm and carry it with me.

Basically a party or two (details are sketchy) broke up and formed a mob of about 300 black people in the parking lot of the Dollar General. Natually it turned into a gun fight and the shooting was still going on when the cops arrived. I actually grew up in that neighborhood but we had to flee in the late 1970s as this shit was starting. Thank Jah for Indian Hill. It acts as a natural barrier to keep those animals out of Milford.

not to sound like a anti government militia nut, cause im not, and i work for the government, but pretty much without the second amendment, its really hard for the people to protect the all the others without the second. Voting people out only works for so long when a government becomes opressive.

But primarily, FUN, SELF PROTECTION, AND BECAUSE THIS IS AMERICA AND WE CAN.

it can be fun to shoot in a shooting range, as a sport.

But Americans also like them for the sense of protection they give!

    Ok, I am still confused.

You need to have guns to protect you from dangerous situations. MSP, the two examples that you mentioned seemed to be dangerous because of the inherent involvement of guns.

Soul Assasin, is the reason you want to defend yourself in your city because it is dangerous? Is that danger constituted by the threat of firearms?

Therein lies the trouble with freedom - some people abuse it. But should this cause us to restrict our liberties? Hell no. Just remember, the vast majority of gun related crime occurs in the black community AGAINST the black community. Sounds like they have some leadership issues there, and as long as they're predominantly killing themselves it’s no skin off my nose.
