good call. You wont miss out on anything if you were to buy it now. More games will be released by then. I myself am holding out for the ps3 as it has better support for HD with the HDMI outputs, xbox360 only has the component video cables. Not to mention i have the ps2 so I will be able to play my games on the ps3 system. I think the ps3 specs looks much better then the xbox360 anyways.

I had to get the fucking core system. Some little girl like 2 spots ahead of me got the last fucking premium. I bought a HD with it though, so it doesn't really make that big of a difference. I wasn't gonna go home after waiting 17 fucking hours, eh. Is there a difference between a hard drive+360core+wireless pad and the premium one? I'm listing mine on ebay tonight ^^
That being said, Best Buy are fucking crooks. Initially when we got there, they told us they were *only* selling them in bundle packs. A bundle pack comes with some games and other shit no one wants, $400 worth of extra crap. They also COST $400 more. But because they advertised in the newspaper for $400, they were forced to sell 20 premiums and 10 cores for that price. I feel bad for the kids who waited 2 days at a local walmart. The Walmart had a RAFFLE. Which means some asshole that just walked in 5 minutes ago has the same chance to get it as someone who was there for 2 days in line.
I haven't been following this too closely because I knew I couldn't afford one this early...gotta pay the mortage before the games. But..any word on mods/hacks yet?

That's not going to sell homes. Core systems are going for about 700-800 dollar on eBay. Your BIN is too high. More power to you if you get it for that though.
Blu-Ray is just a bunch of bullshit? How can you say that when a blu-ray dvd can hold 54gb of space as compared to dual layer dvd which hold 9gb. Not to mention Blu-Ray is looking to be the future of dvd HDmovies, so not only will you be able to play Blu-Ray HD-DVDS with the ps3, which will save you $400-500 on a new dvd player if you wanna play that blu-ray format. Who knows how good the dvd will play on the ps3 as we all know the ps2 wasnt exactly the best for decoding video and audio for movies.. I think the xbox360 has only component video out for there HD format? While the ps3 will have support for 2xHDMI outputs for a much crisper HD picture. I really dont know the specs of the core clock speeds and etc but im sure they will be pretty close. I just thought that i have read somewhere, maybe from when sont had the ps3 press conference, but i thought the speeds were a little higher with the ps3.
its suppose to be 2x the speed of a 360 but you know how sony likes to over estimate that sort of shit, ie ps2 early specs :roll:

No game will be even close to 9GB on the 360. Sure the technology will be good "down the road" but it certainly wasn't needed on the PS3. No game will go over or be even close to 10GB (let alone 54), even uncompressed. How would you feel paying $150-200 of the system just for Blu-Ray. I don't know, doesn't make sense to me. As far as HD, HDTV is HDTV. Only hardware (and rich) enthusiasts are going to care how much "crisper" it is (if at all). PS3 will have 1080p, cool, 360 has 1080i. *shrugs* Like I said, the systems are so close. I'm not a fan of Sony by any means, but I can agree they have an almost equal machine to the 360, minus the Blu-Ray tech.
