I've been looking to buy a used sports car, and I've been wondering how to properly estimate how much to save each year to pay on repairs/upkeep/etc. Is there a simple source I can look to for this information?

How do people typically budget this sort of things for themselves?

To be honest, I don't see myself doing any work on it myself, just taking it in to the dealership and getting robbed :D

post this on the forum of the car you're buying.. seriously
if its a popular one like bmw there are many buying guides if not there are lists of common failures, major services, etc

find a nice one with everything done! and all you have to do is routine maintenance :)

records are everything i learned the hardway

and run a carfax or something to see if it really is clean

find a good indy mechanic btw
