With the Navy, my commute is only ~12 miles. Usually takes 15 mins, can be up to 1.5 hours depending on traffic (20,000 people trying to fit through 5 gates to the base every morning SUCKS!!!!). As for the tree jobs, we stick with a 60 mile radius. Costs too much to take the dump truck outside of that area (and would be one helluva rough ride!).

Most days it's between 10-30 minutes, but if I'm traveling to our farthest offices, I'm looking at up to 1.5 hours one way (and upwards of 2.5 hours in traffic). Damn 91... I'm sure Lurker can agree.

I ride my bike down to the train station and hop on for like 4 stops and walk three blocks to work. About ~20 mins.

55 miles, 110 total. Me and the wife carpool so it isn't too bad. Takes 45-60 minutes depending on traffic.

25 to a half hour. Not peaceful by any means, but definitely not bad.

The best thing about my commute is that it's constant. Heavy traffic? Doesn't affect me. Snow? No impact. Wreck along my route? There are a gazillion detours.

Right now it's about 15-20 minutes if I don't get stuck waiting for a train to pass through, and sometimes I have to wait at 2 crossings cuz the trains go pretty slow. And starting March1st I'll be driving 20 minutes down the freeway and another 20-30 minutes through town if I don't get stuck at train crossings...

    So it's not so bad!

It was a rough 15 second walk up the stairs, but now it's a bit longer. It takes maybe 12 minutes in the morning and 30 coming home. One of my main clients is out in the deep burbs, which takes about 30 minutes in the morning and 1hr+ coming home. I go there about 2-3 days per week. Fortunately all of my commute time out there is billed.

One hour drive if I leave at 0600, longer after that just to go 18 miles. Gotta love paradise, 1 million cars, 1 road.

When I was living at my place, it was about 20 minutes, the drive home could take up to 35 depending on traffic though.

One of the benefits of moving in with my parents before I left was that it made my drive to work only 10 minutes :)
