How ironic that a black man has destroyed Obama...

Watched the videos. They confirm what I posted earlier, which didn't seem unintelligent to me. But hey, what do I know, right? I can't possibly get it because I'm white and dumb.

What pisses me off is this:

Please enlighten me. Don't forget to use plain English. You wouldn't want my brain to explode, would you?

Guilty as charged. :) In all honesty I hope all people not just White people vote for the person they think will do the best job as President. All of us are biased about something, that's just human.

As far as the videos are concerned, I go to youtube and do a search and listen to what people have to say. Some you agree with and some you don't and take it with a grain of salt.

As the scene is set now:
*All the candidates are politians....meaning they are all wolves in sheep's clothing
*logic1 kinda said what I concider the reason I may vote for the guy
*I'm 100% truely undecided at this point
*Race or gender doesn't have a bearing on my vote
*The way a campaign is run does have a bearing on my vote
    * I sincerely do not believe anything will change no matter who gets elected
    * Does media slant affect my vote? Only for the time it takes me to look into it and find that the media has it's own agenda
*Right now, it's between Obama and McKain and I lean Obama's direction, though when it comes
down to what circle to "punch", it may just come down to a frigging toss of a coin.....seriously.

does anyone support obama for his fucking politics? seriously? All I ever hear is "change" "hope" "truth" etc etc. Stop throwing around fucking buzzwords. If people didn't want change, we'd elect bush for another 4 fucking years. He's the most "in touch" with our generation? What does that fucking matter. He is trying to lead a country. If anything, being older and having more life experience would be a big plus. The whole Obama thing is pissing me off because most people don't know why they're voting for him

Those are nice "words". They "sound" good to say and hear. Too bad the prez doesn't have the power to do those things without the support of congress.
It sux that we can never tell how good a prez is until observed in retrospect.
They're all just telling people what the people want to hear. i don't want to hear what they will do, "if elected". I want to know how they plan to do what they say they'll do "if elected".

    ...so nieve...LOL

Here is an excerpt from an article in the Washington Post...

Can you not see the parallels??? You don't have to go back very far to find someone with no record selling a message of hope and unity...saying the old way of doing things is flawed...only to completely mess things up once they get in office. THAT'S why experience is so important. Since McCain is almost senile, that leaves Clinton as the only remaining viable option. Bill Clinton's scandals were of the personal nature, of which Hillary was the victim, not the perportrator. Many believe that Clinton's presidency represented the most prosperous and stable in recent memory.

As for your extensive list of policies, every candidate has a long list that looks great. Many, many people help them formulate policies that they feel will resonate with the voters. The media widely reports that the policies between Clinton and Obama are very similar. The question then becomes can they get it done?

Yet only 8 years later, you're ready to take the same chance again??? In the dictionary, stupidity is defined as "a poor ability to understand or to profit from experience". I guess that makes you stupid...

Being first lady does not count as experience. In that case, the secretary to the president should be more qualified than Clinton. Everyone knows that most of the promises made by a presidential candidate never hold any water.

EDIT: Heres another argument for you:

    Total Delegates:
    Obama 1622
    Clinton 1497

    also, in your face:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:2008_Democratic_Primaries%2C_Pledged_Delegates_by_Date.png

Obama only needs 221.5 more delegates to win the nomination, Hilary needs 375 and she is really sucking it up throughout this whole primary against Obama

    whos stupid now?

EDIT2: another thing is that I have read many articles that show Obama having a much better chance at beating McCain in the general election than Clinton. If you agree that McCain would be a fucking abomination of a president, Obama would be the best candidate in getting the democratic nomination.

Obama/Hilary have been quoted that he can't even promise to bring all the troops back home within the end of his/her term.

Obama is gonna give illegals driver licenses.

He's gonna ban all semi automatic weapons.

For a repost this thread has done alright. Over 1200 views thus far...

For me debating Obama's stance on issues now is pointless. He could promise 72 virgins for every citizen and I still wouldn't vote for him. The man he chose to be his spiritual adviser is a radical and a racist. I simply don't understand how so many of you can just brush this aside.

EDIT: And now his church is lashing out at the media, defending what the guy was saying. So this isn't an isolated incident or person. What he was saying is OK apparently...

Still defending? Let's break things down. Simple question, yes or no. Was what Wright said racist and radical, or not?

Yes, what Wright said is radical racist and stupid. But I do not care what wright says, I only care about what Obama says. Everything wright said goes against what Obama says, this isn't some conspiracy that Obama thinks what Wright thinks.

You know what Democratics are good at? Driving into a brick wall at 100 MPH. Hilary and Obama sure do know this.

This priest was always radical. Obama has been in it for 20 years. To think Obama never seen this side of the priest is a lie.

    EDIT:
Slightly off topic but still quite on.
The Govenator of California aka Arnold was a huge Nazi follower. It sickens me that he's at the position he is right now. Do you think he had a change of heart from being into Nazism to Democracy? I bet you he still has it in the back of his head.

This is all mildly ridiculous. Do you really expect your politicans to be perfect human beings who have never done anything even slightly questionable, ever? Oh no, a wacky preacher is associated with Obama! Oh no, a different and even wackier preacher is endorsing McCain! Yikes! Tune in next week to see the media make a big deal of the next irrelevant issue!

America really needs to learn how to stage some sort of semi-dignified election campaigns that don't last for months and don't require any serious candidate to spend millions of dollars to have any sort of chance, because this is just getting pathetic now and there's still 6 months until the actual election.

Lol? Yeah, I heard he's just weeks away from establishing the Fourth Reich in California...
Seriously, who cares what he may or may not think "in the back of his head"? You start down that path and you'll end up with 1984-style thought police. What happens inside someone's head is nobody's business but theirs.

Wow so many comments and so little time.

You are absolutely right, the president doesn't have the power to do those things on his own, which brings us to the reason why he is the candidate of choice; not only does he have a specific direction and type of change he wants to make but he also has a history of bringing together people across party lines (something clinton is not able to do, and it's obvious mccain doesn't have any vision for change so no need to bring the parties together).

Bush jr was a divider and it was obvious, just read the post after yours.

If you paid close attention to what bush was actually saying any one could see he was the same old same old, ""They had their chance. They have not led. We will.". I don't know about you but I doubt those are words that make the opposition want to come together.

And if you pay attention to what hillary has been saying she sounds just like bush did in 2000 (mr anti nation building, ha!).

All I'm saying is that it's not just about the message but the history behind the message, which candidate has a habit of bringing people together across party lines? Hillary?

Wouldn't Hillary using her husband's name be more like W coat-tailing is daddy's name than Obama? Not to mention that the fact that being married to someone hardly makes one qualified to do their job.

Also, lulz to the person attack in a political thread. Should have thrown in an image macro for good measure. ;)

Getting linked on a major news outlet probably has some affect on that view count.

Also, hidden Obama is a muslim reference, lulz.

I agree about the democrats fucking shit up, it is how we ended up with Jr in the white house for 8 years. Though this time around it's Hillary's desperate it has to be me in the White House rather than pushing the party forward. Hell, it's been speculated that she would let McCain win over Obama just so she has a shot at the Oval Office in 4 years.

    Also, what.
