I'm gonna say this knowing someone will take it the wrong way so here goes. The election is a year away and I'm tired of seeing Hillary Clinton and can't imagine having to look at her for another 5 to 9 years. Now if she's elected she may make a good president BUT having to look at her day in and day out would be torture with no end.

    Anyone else feel this way?

Yes, I'm sick to death of her. She has no chance of being elected so don't worry.

But I've been having fun with her. There's this Conservative zealot at my work, subscribes to the EXTRA content on Rush Limbaug's website, listens to it every day, reads Fox News... Anyway, I have her convinced that I'm supporting Hillary for president and it's driving her crazy. I even signed her up on HillaryClinton.com so she gets the newsletter, etc. Hilarious!

Well there was that big court case and how she was taking illegal donations and trying to cover it up.
Theres also the fact that she wants to ban firearms, considering 90% of americans own a firearm I really really don't think she is going to be elected.

    plus...ya know...shes a woman.

gender politics aside, I think the last thing this country needs is the same old thing in the white house...I mean, holy shit do we really need the same old blood in the white house from 1989-2012?

Obama has no chance either, although he seems like a decent, smart guy to me. The Democrats simply don't have any front runners that can win the Whitehouse. Clinton can't - because she's a stone cold bitch and a woman. Obama can't - because he was raised a Muslim and is a black man. It's unfortunate but bigotry will play a decisive role in putting another Republican in the Whitehouse. I wish the Dems would offer me a more compelling candidate.

I'm going to go ahead and preface this post with my statement that I am (likely) the most liberal active poster on this board and even I think Hillary is a poor, poor choice for president.

Wrong, the fed estimates 35% of households own one, but the accepted percentage is 50% because of unregistered weapons. (source)

Being a woman doesn't mean she can't win, we're progressive enough as a society as far as women's rights that it's possible in this day and age for a woman to win. However, I agree with the second half of the post, we need new blood in office.

Unfortunately she does as she's polled ahead of the other Democrats up until the last couple weeks. It may be a less of a chance to win, but she has a chance.

    Plus, he's only half black.

Personal politics: It's a three-way tie for me at the moment. Obama for a fresh perspective and energy to make changes. Richardson for being a realistic democrat that's already solved issues related to illegal aliens in New Mexico (where he's gov), and Joe Biden. Joe Biden is my personal favorite at the moment, though a long shot for the nomination, because he's a straight shooter, minces no words, and has some decent ideas going on.

But hey, that's just my political view.

Yeah, Obama calls himself a Christian (and may be) but being raised Muslim casts even more doubt over him. A black man might win, and a former Muslim man might win, but a black former Muslim man? No fucking chance. And his enemies will capitalize on both.

And yeah, Hilary is polling higher than other Dem candidates but what does that really mean? Poll her or Obama against Giuliani and it's not close. And Giuliani isn't that appealing a candidate. The Republicans could run Bozo The Clown and still win. Al Gore should run, there are a lot of people who would vote for him out of a sense of justice.

I don't know how I can make this clearer. Obama is not, has never been, nor likely will ever be a Muslim. Hell, even Snopes backs me up on this.

Guiliani is such a poor choice for either side it's not even funny. Running the largest city in the country hardly qualifies one for the highest level of national office.

What is true really doesn't matter. It's what people believe. Spin, propaganda, etc. I don't even know where I heard he had been raised a Muslim, it could all be bullshit.

But again, it doesn't matter. Unless a sleeper candidate takes the Dems by storm you're looking at 4 more years of Republican rule.

Dynasty, its not just for everyone else anymore!

I won't vote for Hillary, that being one, but also, we are tied up with a culture that does not believe women should be in power (did I word that correctly?). I think a lot of Clinton's steam comes from the fact that she is a woman, and if you are against her being in office, you are a male shovenist......

Hilarious, the whole Americans won't vote for a woman or a black man when talking about Hillary and Obama. What, they are entitled to get into the White House because they are a) sort of a woman, and b) a black man and if they don't get in it will be because of bigotry, not that they might just be horrible candidates?

Clinton is a horrible candidate. Obama? I dunno. Seems like a capable guy.

Which reminds me, I need to sign my conservative zealot friend up for Obama's newsletter. :D

Man, that joke never gets old. Really. Fuckin' love it.

I'm leaning towards Obama. Sure he's not for guns, but do you guys really think that anything is ever going to change so far as guns/gun control? I doubt it.

I can ignore his one glaring flaw for the rest of his fresh perspective. I'm glad there's still a year left until the elections though. I want to see if he can make an ass out of himself.
