I'm super excited! I have reservations to eat somewhere nice in the city before the show, and then on to the acrobatics! Wheeeeeeee!
I can enjoy stuff like that, but only for an hour or so. I don't have much attention span apparently.
I saw Ka in Vegas, it was pretty awesome. Ka has a story, though, so maybe the other shows aren't quite as engrossing.
"Everything is wet, French, gay and on fire at the same time" - Patton Oswalt I'm sure it's a blast, though!
I'm drunk nao and have never been to a show.... but everyone around here has an awesome time when they are in town. ENJOY!!
My sister....she has these spasms about it. But then again, she's taught ballet/jazz/hip hop/tap, taken gymnastics...so she's into the kind of shit. Congrats to them but really...I guess I'm not much into performance art like that. It's interesting for about 20min, then I'm cracking jokes and then whipping out my phone to surf. My daughter is in dancing right now, and her first recital, as soon as her bit was done, I asked my wife if we could go. So...yeah...not my thing. Maybe if the chicks were totally naked...then my interests would be perked.
Ok, I'll be clearer myself. I think it's totally gay and don't really like That kind of performance art. But it's such a huge success and quality spectacles. I'm proud they are from our country.
So, the show was lots of fun and definitely entertaining. That said... it was the Zarkana show that I went to, and it was a lot more theatrics than I expected and a lot less acrobatics than I expected. I've only seen shows on tv before, and they were pretty much nonstop people flipping all over the place and flying through the air... so all the parts where they would stop and stand around singing threw me off. The acrobatics that were there were pretty fantastic though. There was a whole big trapeze act, and a bunch of acrobatic stuff along those lines. There were these super silly clowns that performed and did all these little skits between things while they were changing sets in the background, and they were really funny and entertaining. The sets were awesome and when they would stop and sing I found myself mostly just checking out the sets. Overall a really good show, but I think that next time I would go to one that was less theatrical and more acrobatical. Also, the seating at Radio City kinda sucks. I had center row orchestra seating and there was almost no slope to the seating at all, so I had to lean way over to see around the head of the guy in front of me for most of the show. If I go there again for anything I would definitely go for front row first mezzanine seats instead, that way there's nobody sitting in front of me. I enjoyed dinner even more than the show though. I went to Maze (one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants at the London hotel). The service and the atmosphere were fantastic, and the food was some of the best I've ever eaten in my whole life. I wanted to go into the kitchen, find the person who had cooked the lamb I had, and bring them home so they could cook for me all the time.
