I went to go install Diablo 2 on my computer, and when the cd key menu pops up I realize that the key is nowhere to be found. It's not on the jewel case, and nowhere in the box.

I figured I could scrounge up some cd keys on the internet, but none are working. I've tried atleast 25 different ones.

Is there anything I can do? This is a legitimate copy that I purchased.

If you purchased it and you can't find the cdkey anywhere, take it back. Only time this has happened to me was with a used game that didn't come in the original case. They refunded my money. If it's not used though, I'm sure the key is there somehwere (if it isn't that's definitely grounds for a return).

That fucking sucks. Defenitly take it back. If they give you a hard time, speak to the manager and tell them that you want an exchange for the defective product you recieved. Alot of game stores won't take back anything for any reason, that is just bullshit. If he/she refuses and you explained it nicely, tell them firmly :D that you will take this to small claims court if you have to. Although it may be only 30$ for the game, its the principle that you will not be fucked by a store that counts.

Blizzard is pretty good too, email their support and tell them your situation if all else fails. I emailed them once for a cd replacement, they wanted 8$ and my cd that was damaged.

The thing is, at one point in time I did have the cd key.

This copy of Diablo is from way back when it originally came out. So i don't even know where the hell I bought it from. Just was reading all the threads about diablo and realized I wanted to play it.

I'm gonna try messing around with the tech support, thanks though.
  6. Easiest way. Go to wallmart, open a diablo2 box, take a phone pic of the key, then go home.

Thats helped me out quite a few times.

It should be on the front CD-Case.
