It's retarded but so is Glenn Beck's tactics. He spews so much bullshit that people take in and believe him.

Why is it I hear Glenn Beck's name more often from the left than I do from right wing media venues or even his own network? How did he get so popular on the left?

Because while it's not politically correct, even the left likes to point and laugh at the retarded kid smearing poop on himself in the corner (Beck) ;)

Right wing media? As in fox? Why would fox correct any statements Glenn Beck has made, he's on their network why would they do anything to affect their ratings?

I guess I just don't understand the question.

Is there evidence of Obama being a racist? Is there evidence of Glenn Beck being a murderer?

Both are opinions, both are based of off questionable evidence at best.

    Off topic:
The only person I have ever heard call George Bush Jr a racist is Kayne West, I'd hardly call that consistent, in fact many people made fun of him for such a ridiculous statement.

    O. M. G. Glenn Beck has been trying to reach out to me all this time through his show and all I've done is ignore him!

BTW, I think the website is hilarious. It'll probably get taken down, though.

You can call Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton racist... but Obama? C'mon!

I doubt your first thought was one of belief and if it was I know that you soon thought to yourself, "What is this shit?".

Pretty bad when the retarded kid in the corner is selling more books and has more viewers than the intellectuals. :)

Shane I meant he's actually got the left plugging his book, TV and, radio shows more than his own network or his fellow conservatives. It makes me laugh.

true, but it doesnt diminsh the point. all of the (us) armchair politicians would love to have the audience/influence/success that he does. the man is doing pretty well as a talking head

the parallels to the torture stuff with you trying to justify this just gets better and better

Wow you affirm what I've been thinking for a long time now. Anyone that disagrees with the left is painted as stupid or a bad person. Typical elitist mindset.

Well I can say this first. Would you concede that if I listened to Rush Limbaugh for 15 to 20 years, I might be inclined to dislike liberals, The Clintons, Nancy Pelosi, and yes President Obama? Would that be a fair assessment? If that's all I listened to....

Obama spent about 20 years in Rev. Wright's church listening to racist sermon after racist sermon. Do you see the correlation? If he didn't agree with Wright's ideology, why would he go back to that church and only distance himself and seek another pastor after running for President.

I think it's reasonable to come to the conclusion that The President might have some racist tendencies.

Well if you don't buy it, then it's safe to say that people that attend church aren't bible thumping loonies then. OK from now on, no making fun of church going folk because most can go to church and not believe in religion.

Has Obama said or done something racist, like Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton? Some go to church to listen to the word of God, others go to be involved in their community. Given the fact that Obama was a community organizer, the latter makes sense. If Obama had criticized Jeremiah Wright, he would've alienated the people in his community. When it came to light that Wright's sermons were a bit extreme, Obama took the opportunity to distance himself from Wright's church. Don't pull that "guilty by association" BS. If that was the case, anybody who had a mentally unstable friend would be considered mentally unstable; anybody who had a friend who committed a crime would be considered a criminal. It just doesn't make sense.

People like Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and Bill O'Reilly have great ratings because they create controversy and cater to their audience. They're good at what they do. That doesn't mean they're right. Remember the bandwagon fallacy.

As for the Glenn Beck website... it's satire. It's meant to demonstrate the absurdity of Beck's unsubstantiated claims by making an even more absurd claim. No parallels exist between ivwshane's torture thread and this one, other than the fact that political discussions always devolve into shouting matches and name calling.

no, the parallels definately exist. he is saying this site is justified becase glenn beck does the same thing. but we are supposed to be above that (doing the same thing) when it comes to torture.

    sounds perfectly reasonable to me

Satire and intentionally spreading misinformation to further an agenda are not the same thing. Sorry.

Not all people who attend church are Bible thumping loonies. There's a lot to be said for otherwise normal people who have this illogical belief that a bearded guy in the sky created man from dust, though. Oh, and then there's Scott Roeder and people like him.

Wait a minute. All the time on here people bring up how stupid religion is and the people who believe in a higher power. It seems like hypocrisy to me.

What I've found is that if Obama believes in God and regularly attends church.......that's ok to a liberal.

If average Joe citizen believes in God and regularly attends church and votes Democrat......that's ok. Joe in this case isn't a blind follower of his religion.

If average Joe citizen believes in God and regularly attends church and votes Republican.....then he's part of the Christian Right and IS a blind follower of his religion.

I'm the only one that hears and reads about that hypocrisy?

No, what I am saying is people who blindly follow Beck are stupid, not that all conservatives are stupid. There is a BIG difference.

Believing in God is stupid because there is no evidence. It's like believing in the tooth fairy and then worshipping it every Sunday because you're afraid she'll punish you otherwise.

Politicians attend church because they can't get elected in America if they don't. It is extremely likely that quite a few politicians on both sides of the fence only attend church for PR. For some reason this country seems to think you can't run a country if you're not Christian.
