There was a few pop culture refrences in there, the quest Those! was a spinoff of Them! Its all over the place really, you just have to know what it is to spot it. Old thread i know, but FO3 is where i have been chilling for the past 2 weeks =P I personally cant get enough of the game.
This isn't the type of game I normally play but I thought I'd give it a go and see what it's like. I'm quite enjoying the freedom to wander around wherever you want, but I'm not sure I'll ever finish it. The combat sections are a bit weird...it seems like as long as you have a decent weapon and enough ammo you can just use the VATS thing to pick enemies off without much effort. One very strange thing that happened to me - I was walking along minding my own business, and a 2 metre tall green "Super Mutant" with a minigun literally spawned out of mid-air right in front of me! Does that type of thing happen a lot? Luckily I had a hunting rifle and a tree to hide behind, but still...
I just pick that game up few days ago. Playing off and on, due to lack of time. Interesting how much you can explore. I am not doing any missions yet; just exploring the map. The game speed soo dam annoying, too slow. So i modified the run/walk speed. It effect every thing in the game; so its not an advantage. Just makes things run faster abit. Dodging getting hit, or sneak up to a person, a round from shot gun to the head. Make there melon fly off . Thats pretty much how i am killing them. :ninja: Be nice if i can find a sword. I want to cut those two headed cows down the middle.
lol well I picked it up again after getting burned out on L4D Using a couple of the high res mods, and the Fellout looks mod. It makes playing so much better. I think the low res looks, and green wash turned me off the 1st time I played. Anyway, Level 8, I just finished the wasteland survivors guide, and I'm on the 2nd leg of finding my father. I think I'm in the mood for some more sidequests. Any recommendations? I have all the dlc's, thinking about Operation:anchorage to get the t15b power armor. I can't get over how big this damn game is. There is soooo much to do (seems like 10x the stuff in Oblivion)
Played through the game more than 5 times with different characters. Never did do everything there was to do. Used some cheats to see things a little quicker after the first few toons. My stepdad still plays his 3rd character trying to do everything with every toon. The game is amazing.
That's for the winterized T51-b armor. The regular T51-b is better (50 vs 45 AC). You can get it from the quest "You Gotta Shoot 'Em In The Head" Also: Operation: Anchorage bugs - The Vault, the Fallout wiki - Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas and more (you can keep all the shit from the simulation and get pretty much infinite ammo for some types.) The new level 30 perk kinda pissed me off. I had a hundred hours in my guy trying to get the perfect character (highest stats possible) and the bastards add that shit after I've already gotten all the bobbleheads.
I can't believe how many people are disappointed by this game. I really enjoyed. I guess I just loved being a Assassin/Thief.
