Not to mention it looks really cool. I think Nintendo's aim was to make the Wii the most plain yet most skin-able console ever. I don't know if the Pokemon Diamond Pearl skin is out yet but I'm sure my 6 year old will make me chuck over the 30 bucks for it.
honestly, i came away a bit underwhelmed of what I did play of MGS4. It really didn't pack the same punch as the first two... Seemed kinda like another snake eater to me.
One thing makes the ps3 a decent investment. BLU RAY! I love blurays and your wasting your hd tv if your not watching blu rays. HD gaming is also nice! Although I think if we have to convince you what to buy just buy nothing and use the money to move out or pay rent.
That sounds disappointing... where'd you play it? I enjoyed Snake Eater but... I don't really desire to replay it like I do the first two. I didn't love it like them. The villians seemed sort of lame in this one, I'm hoping Kojima didn't just suck on paint chips while writing it, and it's at least a little decently coherent :[
Well, MGS2 wasn't exactly super coherent, but it was still pretty sweet I played it at a convention back in sept. It was solid, but I don't know. At least the demo level was underwhelming. It goes all over the world, so hopefully the other levels are a bit better. Otherwise it was just your run of the mill middle eastern setting, and the map layout was pretty bland. But, on a better note, it looks and sounds absolutely amazing. And also, who the hell registers for a forum just to post a PS3 fanboy post?
Another reason: To play DMC4 you have to load 5 fucking gb of data onto your HDD before you can play it. To reduce load times since blu-ray is slower than DVD. Yes, they logically came to the conclusion that like 4 hours of ripping data is better than 15 seconds of load time every time you change areas.
What makes you think 4 hours? Oblivion is a 4gb install on a PC and it only takes about 10 minutes to install. Also, the DMC series is ass, who the fuck cares about the 4th game?
Oblivion isn't Blu Ray, but DVD isn't THAT much different. DMC4 will be on the 360, so the game isn't even coming close to filling a Blu Ray disc. Plus, most demos are about a gig - 1.5gb and they only take 5 minutes at the most to install. you're looking at 15 minutes max to install the game and not have load times. I'd say it'll be worth it if you like the series.
This might be a big deal to console tards though. By console tards I mean people who have no experience with computer games. It seems iffy to me, I hope it doesn't blow up in Sony's face.
