What happened to good old senseless beatings? Now everyone has a weapon (including my self with a switchblade), and I'm afraid to start a fight or rob anyone for fear of being stabbed or shot.

Cheaters can cheat their way through anything I guess?

I'd never cary a weapon around. There's too many dumb assholes around here, I'd probably get really annoyed and accidentally stab them to death. The knife was rusty........that's ridiculoussssly sick....

Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour.
1 person says thanks for this.

Well, feels great reviving a thread from 4 days ago but I don't buy this story.

Im not gonna fully flat out say that this was a fake incident, since I was not there, but the evidence strongly suggests that... it is.

#1, the blade on the X-ray pic is inserted from the RIGHT side of the head towards the left side, you can see the Top portion of the "R" designating Right side on the lower left portion of the X-ray film. When compared to the second actual photograph, the knife is inserted from the LEFT side.

#2, X-rays used for imaging do not penetrate Steel. In the first picture, one can see the Bone behind the knife, which wouldnt/shouldnt be seen in real life since metal would appear as 100% opaque, impenetrable by the X-rays. The photoshopper made the mistake of making the blade appear semi-opaque (vs 100% opaque) and you can see the bone behind the blade, which in real life, you wouldnt see because Radiology techs or Radiologists dont use such intense X-rays..

#3, Its very unlikely that the tip of the knife pierced and lodged into the inside portion of his cranium after having its force significantly reduced by its first contact with the bone after initial penetration.

#4, look at the knife's borders, you see pieces of black, which indicates air surrounding the knife. This again is inconsistent, but you never know, could be, but one things for sure. That X-ray is not of that patient you see in the ER or Surgery room.

Could be a fake. I had that conversation with a coworker last week. We went over the angle of entry, the kid would have needed to be laying on his back and tilting his head back for someone to grip the blade tightly enough to penetrate with that much force. And the blade itself it stamped steel, which is far inferior to and more flexible than a forged blade like my German kitchen knives (or a sword). It would have almost taken a two handed thrust, with a really lucky strike, on a target that wasn't moving around very much. Sure, the sides of the skull are thinner than the frontal or occipital areas, but still. And the blade was reportedly rusty too, which implies to me not very sharp. Very suspicious.

Ya.. clearly looks fake the more you analyze it. But oh well, I guess someone thought it worth it to spend their time fooling around. Here is a normal penetrating skull injury.

There is no jumping or convex lens amplification effect that you see in the entry wound, as seen in the 1st pic & no bone visible behind the blade.
