I guess everyone has a different understanding of what a hipster is. To me, they are self absorbed, obsessed with trying to be cool, spend an hour getting ready to go out kind of people whom I am not very interested in being around. They are preaching individuality, but are some of the most conformist people around! Total tools.

So I just take it as an insult ;)

MSP and wiskas, right now I'm on something more your style. Staying at a house in Victor, Idaho (right outside the Tetons) with just a few friends, having a quiet week of playing outside mostly. We just sat on the porch and watched a lightening storm together :)

I am soooooooo jealous right about now. What a cool place to be in the summer. The tetons are on that bucket list of mine. Have fun!

    As you should.

Austin is the only place where I have seen a concentration of them before (never been up to your part of the country). Here the bigger focus is how much you're into indie bands, dive bars and old bicycles but the other stuff applies as well. I guess its a function of the town. I have a handful of friends who are hipsters, but usually I don't get the pleasure of attending their hipster fests, this was the first time

Yah, dive bars, indy bands (how many hipsters does it take to change a lightbulb? ..... it's an obscure number, you've probably never heard of it) shitty beer ( but not Rainier :p ) stupid haircuts, fixies, all standard hipster fare. which is why they are so fucking conformist! I almost never deal with them either, because I don't hang out on Capital Hill or downtown much at all. I could have filled my memory card taking pictures to send to that 'look at this fucking hipster' website :p

    But enough of that nonsense.

Today me and my buddy are heading off on a short hike up a valley to check out the wild flowers and some waterfalls and caves. Should be fun.

I floated down a river yesterday, really fun even tho i flipped over, struggled 2 climb back into my tube, hit my leg on a rock, n got stuck paddeling for myself and dead weight. Lol, i had 2 jump back in after i found a place to stop myself n attach my tube 2 a girl's tube.

It was really nice anyway, some cool rapids, not really scary =] hooray for doing things! I missed today tho, the group went shooting. I had 2 take the NAPT -_- it seems like they treated it like a formality, da guy told me i passed b4 he checked my answers. He shoodnt play like that... lol

    Congrats on the NAPT.
River tubing is fun. We used to trip down creeks like this when I was a kid, now I got one in my back yard:

It's one of my favorite jokes, but you have to do it with the voices.

Oh, and the caves yesterday were fucking awesome.

Did you get any photos? Caves are neat. That is, neat untill they get narrow enough to have to crawl on your belly in.
