I took the asvab in high school. I thought ur scored on a bunch of skills, like reading comprehension, math, mechanical abilites, etc. I scored a 99 in the reading section, meaning i did better than 99 people out of 100. I got calls everyday from the Army for like 2 years.

I was suprised I did THAT well, I haven't been in a math class for almost 3 years.
They had like 10 different sections all timed.

Sort of, but for the military. I think I got a 96 or 97. Tassia had something similar.

    Kind of..

    It goes through these subjects:

    General Science
    Arithmetic Reasoning
    Word Knowledge
    Paragraph Comprehension
    Auto & Shop Information
    Mathematics Knowledge
    Mechanical Comprehension
    Electronics Information
    Assembling Objects

And then because I was joining the Navy, I also had another
subject but, I don't remember what that was called.

I'd take the sample test there, but I'm afraid to fill in any forms from the US military. :(

You know, anytime I ever hear of someone taking this test they got some rediculously high score compared to the "average". I'm about 90% sure they just made up the average score so everyone thinks they did amazing on it. It's a lot easier to entice some dumbass into the military when he thinks he's going to be an asset.

Or the average actually is that low because people liek scobby don't take the test seriously. Also, people really are dumb enough to get a score worse than marking B for every answer.

Josh filled out some fake name and stopped showing up after awhile. The principal was getting mad when i realized the name was fake and he kept checking if some non-existant kid was there.

The fact that it was mandatory is kind of idiotic to me.

I got a 98 on my test, in my sophomore year in high school. I had no physics or chemistry classes (except one year of applied physics). It isn't hard at all to do well, and your score means nothing. I've seen guys who got 50's and 60's greatly surpass me going through training. It really isn't a good measure of aptitude or skills.

The test wasn't hard, it was just a matter if I remembered my shit.
Its hard to remember math from like 3 years ago taught by a horrible teacher.

And, the test scores do mean something...It decides my job.
