ah... don't be afraid, I wasn't serious with my posts. I don't doubt you as a debater for some random jerkoff's opinion.

    Bros before centrists.

Hrm, let's see here. Let's start with your definition:

    What does Merriam Webster say:

Hrm, liberalism defined as giving stuff away is not in that one.

    Let's check Dictionary.com:

    Uh, nope, not there either!

We can check Wikipedia since I know you consider it an acceptable reference for things!

    Social liberalism on Wikipedia:

Huh, nothing in there on giving stuff away. Maybe you meant it in the Classical sense?

    Classical liberalism on Wikipedia:

Oh man, limited governments AND free markets? Those are kind of the exact opposite of giving stuff away aren't they

I suppose yes, given your improper definition of the term liberalism your usage fits.

As an American isn't everything suppose to revolve around my interpretation?

Oh and since you didn't bother to answer the question earlier, I went ahead and checked to see if your party had been qualified for at least California's primary election.

People here may not want to be identified by their full name, I think that's a reasonable request.

John asked to join the site. His organization is mentioned, so I figured it would make sense for him to join in and talk about it if he wants, as long as he obeys the rule and has thick skin I think he'll do okay with this thread.

There is more than one dictionary in the world but, the best is a collegiate. Highly recommended.

"4 given, used, or occurring in generous amounts : liberal amounts of wine had been consumed."

Merriam Webster is a collegiate dictionary. It's also generally the one that is always referred to.
Also, you looked up the definition of "liberal", not "liberalism". Kinda like if I looked up "peanut" and "butter" I might not get the same definition as "peanut butter" because, you know, they're different words and all.

not to mention liberalism is a derived form of the word liberty, not liberal, as in the amounts of peanut butter i like on my bread

Even so, your example of liberal this time means excessive or generous amounts rather than "giving away". But keep trying hoss.

So how many party members do you have? What kind of events has the party hosted? Do you have any local or state candidates running in 2012?

How would we classify the majority here? I know we did those political right/left/middle things in the past, but where is everyone standing now?
In ten years, you guys have changed your views quite a bit, some flip flops and a few that got more rigid/solidified in the views held since teens.
    Just curious.

As a minarchist, I am at the very top of the Nolan chart. Interestingly enough, my name is also Nolan.

Yes, that is why it is important to consider connotative usage. Also, keep in mind some collegiate are thicker than others. The one I am referring to is a two volume version and rather extensive.

Individuals choose not to use their full names and that is their choice. That may be reasonable, but does not mean that the choice exemplifies honor as it removes various degrees of responsibility and the attachment of integrity to ones words.

It is also reasonable for me to request that individuals remove the veil and take a stand with their words. I will continue to ask. It is up to each individual to choose not to stand by their words and leave that as anonymous thoughts with no attachment to personal responsibility. Personally I think that in and of itself is one of the problems with our society. People don't want to take responsibility for their words or deeds these days, aka corporate and corporate-lie are good examples, but consider how this is manifested on the individual level, such as on this and so many other blogs.

I am unfamiliar with 'the rule' is it a site conduct rule?

    Hey fair enough.
I guess every post you made before you identified yourself may be reasonable, but does not mean that the choice exemplifies honor as it removes various degrees of responsibility and the attachment of integrity to ones words.

Actually I usually sign up on blogs with my full name as the user. But since the topic was the Centrist Party, I thought that might be better.

But many people are more willing to pick on minutia to make their own point rather than fairly assessing what can be reasonably understood through ratiocination. You have at the least illustrated 'that' in your focus on narrowly scoped argument and spin.

Ever thought of becoming a politician?

Word it any way you want you are doing the exact same thing as I am.

And BTW this is a forum not a blog and the thread wasn't originally about the centrist party and in fact it was barely mentioned at all before you showed up.

If I become a politician will I have as much time as you to waste on inane shit like posting in an off-topic section on a PC tweaking website?

Oh, and James K, when I said "Ever thought of becoming a politician", I did not mean for the Centrist Party. We would not accept anyone that was more interested in spin than reason.

We do intend to begin a ballot push, possibly in the near future. We will be looking for candidates that are pragmatic of course. We often recommend to those that contact the CP with unreasonable positions to look into joining other parties. The CP is not about appealing to anyone's emotions or populist points.

Actually, you are incorrect. This is a blog (or a thread in a blog if you insist):

    blog |bläg|
    noun
a Web site on which an individual or group of users produces an ongoing narrative : Most of his work colleagues were unaware of his blog until recently.

    OH NOS!

And BTW this is a forum. You are on a forum not a blog. Learn the difference because there is one.
